Chapter 3: Knowing Him

I tried sleeping, but I just couldn't get Tom out of my head. So I texted my bestie, Amanda.

TEXT CONVO
Y/n: Hey Amanda, can I tell you something?
A: Of course! You can tell me anything!
Y/n: ok so there's this guy I ran into getting Starbucks
A: mhmm
Y/n:and he's super cute and we hung out all afternoon!
A: awww you guys should be a couple!
Y/n: I just met him Amanda!
A: oh right, forgot, sorry😂
Y/n: and I'm sooo glad that he's in acting class with me!
A: nice
Y/n: also tonight, I'm gonna ask him if he wants to just hang and drive around L.A.
Y/n and yes I will come and visit sometime in the summer when I'm free
A: YES!
Y/: ok well, goodnight. I have to get some sleep before class so I have some energy, bye

I then fell asleep thinking of him

*BUZZ BUZZ* my alarm rings. I get up and fix my bed. I go pick an outfit and surprisingly it didn't take me that long. I picked out a black shirt with a yellow jacket and ripped jeans. I put my hair in a ponytail with. Yellow small bow tie and put my watch on and my bracelets
I check my phone and see that Tom has texted me

TEXT
T: hey if u wanna, I'm gonna be at Starbucks and you wanna hangout before we go to class
Y/n: sure meet u at 7:30 k?
T: k, see ya later, bye!
Y/n: ok see ya!

I go make my breakfast, I get some Cheerios and a bowl. I put the cereal first (obviously, I mean who would put the milf first?) and then put some milk. I check the time, it's 7:20. I get my stuff ready and head off.

As I got into my car I waved goodbye to my brothers and my mom. I start up my car and turn on the radio. As I'm driving with the wind blowing in my hair and the sun shining in me while jamming to come to Brazil by why don't we

I arrive at Starbucks, I park my car and walk into Starbucks looking for Tom. I gaze across the cafe. I look to the left and see him sitting by himself. I walk over to his table and sit in front of him.
"Hey Tom!" I say
He noticed me and put his phone down
"Oh hey y/n!" He says with a smile. " I ordered us some drinks already if you don't mind."
"Oh, thanks! What did you get?" I question
" I got both of us a tall passion tea lemonade with raspberry syrup. I hope that's ok with you." He says nicely
"that's my favourite drink!"
"Oh really? That's mine too! I always get it whenever I come here!" I say surprisingly
"Oh that's cool!" Tom says
We talked for a bit and I told him about my life and what has happened
"Oh well, I'm sorry for you." He says comfortingly
I see him check his phone
"Well we better get going, class is gonna start soon." He says as he's getting up from his chair
"Ok, I'll drive." I say also getting up
We walk out with our drinks. We get in my car and drive off to class

We walk into class, 5 minutes early. We meet up with Jacob, Zen, Sym, and Kate.
"Oh hey guys!" Zen says happily
"Hey!" I say excitedly
"You guys wanna hang tonight? Maybe go mini golfing?" Jacob suggests
"Ya sure sounds like fun!" We all say

"Ok class! Welcome back, welcome back," Mrs.H shouts to the whole class. "And today we're going to be trying to act out a sad scene. Be creative with this, have fun, and do your best. Oh and choose a partner."
Sym and Kate went with each other. Zen and Jacob went with each other. And they left me with Tom
"So I guess it's you and me." Tom gushed

So we all went out deprecate ways, me and Tom chose to practice in a corner. We decided to act out a scene where one of our parents left us, and I said I'd be the one to lose one of them and Tom would be the dad because I know how it feels being left out leaving one of them. We practiced our lines for about 30 minutes. Then we started to do some emotion it it and added some actions.

"Ok class Times up! Get ready to come up on stage.!" The teacher bellowed "so, any volunteers?
I see Jacob and zen's hands go up and shout "oh we'll go first!"
They walk up to the stage and their scene was about losing your best friend and hey turned into a stranger to you. They were so emotional and it even made me cry, it was so good! Other people went and I decided "let's not go last this time." I say to Tom.
"Ya sure, after this group is done let's raise our hands." He suggested
"Ok then" I reply
The group finished and it was pretty good, we raised our hands and the teacher called on us. We walked up to the stage and did our scene.

"Why can't you just be proud of me for once?" I cry "I always try my best to make you smile, but you our never surprised or even try to be happy about it.
"Well I'm sorry! Ok, it's just... things aren't going great, and I'm never really in a good mood!" He shouts back
"YOU ALWAYS PUSH ME AWAY! You always, and I mean always never like me around." I yell "why can't you just be a regular father? Why can't you just be proud of me for once?!
"YOU KNOW WHAT?! JUST LEAVE, LEAVE THE HOUSE AND FORGET ABOUT IT! JUST GET OIT OF MY LIFE!" Tom groaned
"FINE THEN! I NEVER LIKED YOU ANYWAYS!" I stormed out off of the stage. "And scene" we both say
Everyone starts clapping
"Wow. Very impressive you two!" She tells the whole class
She whispers in my ear
"My favourite students this year."
I smile and say "thank you"

We walk off the stage and sit in our seats.
"Ok class that's it for today!" Mrs.H yells "you guys can head off and do your own things now and, see you tomorrow!"
"Ok so you guys wanna go mini golfing now?" Tom questions
"Ya sure I'll drive us" i suggest
"Ok let's go" Jacob rushes

As we got into my car and headed off to mini golf. We talked about each other and talked about the things that has happened and the things we're planning to happen. I told them about what happened to my dad and why we came here.
"Oh, well, I'm sorry y/n." They all day sadly
"It's fine, i hates him anyways. He never liked me, he never cared about me," I say as a tear falls down my cheek.
"Hey y/n, it's ok. If you doubt wanna talk about you don't have to." Tom says comfortingly as he wipes the tear of my face.
"Thanks Tom."I smile.

We got out of the car and headed inside the lobby to get our golf clubs and golf
balls. I got a bluish purple ball, Tom got a red and blue ball. Zendaya got hot pink ball. Jacob got a neon green ball. Sym got a black ball. Kate got a white ball. We got onto the golf track and started putting the balls. I went first, then Tom, the Zen, then Jacob, then Sym, then Kate. The first hole was pretty fun. Zen won that hole. The fifth hole was probably my favourite hole.

We finished mini golf and put our golf clubs and golf balls back. We headed back to our own places because it got late. I went up to my room and hopped onto my bed. This whole day I got to know spot more about Tom. I found out he has such a big and nice heart for others.
