Dakotah's point of view

The Next Day

"Morning, Gorgeous. You sleep well?" Carter asked kissing my forehead. I kissed him and lied on his shirtless chest. I rubbed his chest and sat up.

"Can I tie my hair up in peace?" I asked as Carter kissed my neck. He mumbled something, and then started to massage my neck.

"Oh, nevermind. Keep going." I said motioning my body synced as his hands. He laughed and kissed my neck. He got out of bed and put on a t-shirt.

"Your leaving because..." I said looking as he got dressed. He laughed.

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." He said grabbing a belt from his bedside table. He put it on, and kissed me on the forehead. He walked away.

"Exactly-" I started, but he interrupted.

"Exactly 2 ice cubes, 1 sugar, 4 cinnamon." He said turning around.

"Aw, you know me too well." I said putting my hands over my heart. He left, which made me want to get out of bed. I grabbed one of his shirts, and threw it over me. I walked down to our little, but modern kitchen. He was putting my cinnamon into my coffee.

"You need help?" I asked grabbing his waist. He turned around to look at me.

"What do you want to do today?"He asked putting his hands on my waist.

"How about movie, dinner, sunset." I recommended putting my hands behind his neck.

"Do you want anyone to come with us?" He asked resting his head onto mine. He kissed my forehead.

"Just us this time." I whispered. He gave me a peck on the lips and went back to my coffee. I went to sit at the table, but something caught my eye. I went over to the shelf. There was a weird black box.

"What's this?" I asked picking it up showing Carter. He quickly grabbed it and put it in his pocket. He kissed me, and then there was awkward silence. I asked him again.

"Nothing, just a necklace my grandma gave me, she died 2 years ago. Then he stopped. I didn't know if I wanted to believe him. I never heard him talk about his grandma. Was he lying? I couldn't tell quite yet. I wanted to ask him, but he might think it was disrespectful. I walked over to the kitchen table and sat down. When he finished my coffee, he brought it over to me. He set it in front of me. There was a little sticky note on the cup. I took it off and read it.

You took my heart! Actually....keep it, its

Cute with you..

-Carter

I smiled and put the note where I keep all the other ones. He has been writing them since we started dating. He grabbed my hand and kissed my warm fleshed hands. I grinned and took a sip of my coffee.

I went into my room to get dressed, but then my phone went off. I picked it up.

Message from Lucas: I need to talk to you. Meet me SOS

I set my phone on the bed side table and got dressed. Its either I go see him, and hear him, or he comes here. I grabbed my jacket and phone. I walked downstairs to see Carter on the phone. I mean, if he saw me eavesdropping, I would say I was tying my shoe. I listened through the steps.

"Im done, Brooke. And this is the last time I'm saying it!" He said pacing back and forth. I heard Brooke say something on the other line, but I couldn't quite tell what, but I know it made Carter mad, because he hung up and threw his phone to the ground. He sighed, as he watched it shatter. I ran downstairs and pretended that I wasn't listening. He grabbed me and squeezed me. I tried to back away, but he held on tight. Finally, he let go. He kissed my forehead.

"I'm sorry." He said looking at the shattered phone. I sighed and smiled.

"It's fine, you needed a new one anyways." I said. I kissed him on the cheek and chuckled. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket.

Message from Lucas: Hurry up!

"Do you want me to go with you?" I asked politely. Please say no, please say no.

"Eh, I would take forever." He laughed putting his hand on my neck. He kissed me and laughed. I kissed him goodbye and walked out.
