Dakotah's point of view

The Next Day

I woke up to Carter sitting at the edge of the bed in the guest room. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I realized I didn't have a bra, and scrambled in the covers for one. Carter threw me one.

"Uh, what are you-" I started. Carter was looking down at the floor. He looked to me.

"Liam stayed the night, Harper." Then started. I was confused. He sighed.

"He slept in here...with, you, undressed..." He looked at the floor again. I was in shock. I didn't know what to say. I politely asked if Carter could leave. He threw me shorts, and underwear. He left, but looked back at me one last time. I held my breath so a tear wouldn't show. I got dressed, and called Ryder. He didn't answer, so I went down to the breakfast. Dakotah was sitting on the counter, watching Carter cook.Ryder. Ryder was sitting at the island, waiting for food. He had a spoon, and was stirring his coffee. He saw me come down the stairs, and then gulped. I sighed, and sat on the other side of him. It was silent for a while. He looked up at to me.

"A-any plans today?" He asked politely. I looked at him, and grinned. It faded. He didn't like it. It was a mistake. He was trying to change the subject.

"Nope, just hanging out with my sister." I smiled. He smirked.

"Well, your sister was coming to my party tonight, you gonna join?" He asked. He looked into his coffee.

I mumbled, so Carter and Dakotah wouldn't hear me. "Considering yesterday, you don't want to make the same mistake." I looked at them. They didn't hear me.

"You-" He started. I cut him off. I sat up and walked over to him. I grabbed his string of his hoodie, and dragged him into the living room.

"Look, why did you stay over?!" I growled under my breath. I pushed him to the wall.

"Look, you wanted me to." He said. I let go of him, and he felt his neck.

He finished. "You had more drinks then you said you would. Carter went up to bed, so it was me and you. You passed out, so I carried you up to the guest bedroom. I didn't want you to drive home, drunk the way you were. I set you gently into the bed." He pushed me to the wall, and looked so Carter and Dakotah weren't listening. He continued. "Before I could leave, you said some deep stuff. I listened. I wanted to let you sleep, so I walked away. You grabbed my arm, and told me to stay, and I....did."He pulled away, and took a breath. I wanted to say so much, but didn't.

"But, why didn't you leave?" I asked under breath. He looked at me, and blushed. He didn't answer.

"Look, do you just want to come to the party tonight?" He asked again. I wanted to, but didn't at the same time.

"We can't tell ANYONE what happened, ok?" I told him. I grabbed his string of it again, and looked into his eyes. His breath was minty, but smelled like beer.

"Seems like someone already does."He sighed. He looked at Carter. Dakotah was flirting with him. I sighed too,and closed my eyes.

"Was yesterday, is that what you wanted?" I asked looking at him. He looked down my shirt, and then met my eyes. He grinned.

"Is that what you wanted?" He chuckled. I didn't know how to respond. I did like Ryder, but him and I, were flirts.

I grabbed his hoodie, and kissed him. Thinking he would pull away, but he didn't. He just let the kiss go. I pulled away.

"D-Does that answer your question?" I whispered. He laughed and kissed me again. I wanted to kiss him all day, but he pulled away.

"Ok, i'm starving." He walked away. I leaned against the wall, and smiled. I think this one will last.
