The Goodbye Poem
I love you but I need to say goodbye
for you chose to finally put an end in
  our story,
though I am in despair without you
  by my side
and it would take forever to accept
  this reality.
I love you but I could no longer stay
for we know we deserve better than.
   each other—
   better than those midnight
   memories we made
   giggling behind screens of our
   phones together
I love you but it’s better for you to leave—
for you to finally find the possibility
   of forever
since I have nothing but mere
   lifetime with me
and millions of poems are all I could
   ever offer
What a downfall you are to me and I never even hide
I love you more than this piece but it’s time to say goodbye
