So I was watching Voltron...
I smile warmly at the small girl in front of me. Her long green hair tangled and sticking to different spots all over her face. Her eyes are still closed lightly, and bit of light from the leaves around us are leaking through, successfully brightening up the place and illuminating her.
After a long sigh I face reality. I need to go, right now. If I do then I could make it back before my dad finds out I was ever missing. Disappointed in the situation, I shake Deku awake. Finally she wakes up and after cutely rubbing her eyes and yawing, she smiles at me.
"What's up Sho?" She asks.
"I have to leave, if my father sees I'm missing he'll kill me." I whisper soothingly.
"Awww, okay." She replies, moving some of the long strands of forest green hair out of her face.
"Sorry, I wish I could stay longer." I smile sadly at her.
"It's okay." She smiles back.
Then with one more sigh, I sit up. I proceed to lazily slip on my shoes and jacket. Through the morning routine, I am painfully aware that Deku is watching and it makes the tip of my ears warm up.
After I'm completely ready to go, I look over at Deku, who currently resides around a foot away. She looks at me expectantly and I lean down to give her a quick peck on the lips. She smiles, happy I recognized what she was waiting for.
After pulling away I say, "Bye Deku."
"Bye Sho." She replies with the closed-eye smile that I love so much.
I make my way down the ladder and when I'm almost out of the tree house I say, "I love you."
Her smile returns to her beautiful face and she says, "I love you, too." Then I slip out of the tree house, disappearing from her view.
My feet hit the snow-covered ground and makes a light crunching sound. I continue to hastily make my way back to the castle.
~~~
"YOU PIECE OF SHIT! I TOLD YOU, YOU AREN'T ALOUD TWO LEAVE THE CASTLE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!" My father shouts from in front of me. His fire sits proudly on his shoulders and hair and continues down to is chin where it formers a smallish beard.
He caught me sneaking back in. And now here I am, being yelled at by the burning man that unfortunately holds the title of my father.
"What were you doing?" He asks. His voice is quieter than before but he's still yelling and still scaring the shit out of me and everyone else in the room.
"I just went on a walk." I lie, looking away to stare at the wall's decorative pattern instead of my father's turquoise eyes that resemble my own left eye.
"BULLSHIT!" He explodes. The heat in the room is steadily rising as the flames surrounding his upper body and ankles crackle as they grow higher and higher. "WHAT WERE YOU DOING?" He repeats.
"I was just hanging out with a friend." I try. I force myself to look at him in the eye. And immediately regret it. His eyes hold an intense wrath that send shivers down my spine. You can tell just with one look that he's restraining himself from coming over and beating me in front of the few guards that reside on either side of him. Without thinking, I move my hand up to touch the scar given to me by my mother. It circles my left eye.
Unsightly.
Do I ever look as scary as he does? Have I ever looked that scary?
"What are you talking about you don't have friends!" He yells, making me visibly flinch. He waits, not so patiently, as I try to form a response.
"Yes I do." Is all I come up with as I watch the flames rise higher, once again. I get the sudden temptation to walk out of the room. But I force myself to stay, knowing that if I leave it will only make my situation worse.
"Who is this so called friend?" He asks. His voice is too calm. I gulp.
"It doesn't matter, it's no one important." The lie slips out easily, but it's not enough to convince him.
"YOU'RE LYING! WHO ARE THEY!?"
Damn, I really do need to work on being more convincing. But what do I say? I mean since I don't know Deku's real name then maybe she won't be caught? I can't say Kirishima, because he's always in the castle anyways, and he would surely get yelled at, possibly fired.
"Her name is Deku." I say shyly.
He looks expectantly, waiting for more information. "Who is this Deku?" He asks after realizing I don't have anything else to elaborate on.
"A friend." I say, but since we've already established this I already know this will make him more mad.
He huffs. "Full name." He demands.
"I don't know her real name, I just call her Deku." I say just loud enough so he can actually hear.
"WHAT? YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW HER IDENTITY BUT YOU'VE BEEN HANGING OUT WITH HER!" He roars, causing his fire to explode. I nod. "HOW DO YOU KNOW SHE'S NOT TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU? OR SHE'S NOT A SPY? YOU HAVE TO BE MORE RESPONSIBLE!"
"She doesn't even know who I am. She just thinks I'm some noble's son." I reply quickly. This time he sends his head into his hands, where he rubs his temples.
"Does that matter?" He questions after a few awkward moments. Or at least it's awkward for me. I look away.
"No." I lie for the third time this conversation, but this time he seems to buy it.
"Then will you stop seeing her?" He questions in a bone-chilling and threatening voice that forces me to nod my head, and respond with a yes. And that would make four lies.
He narrows his eyes, giving a crazily intimidating and intense look. Then finally he says, "Okay, but if you're lying to me and I catch you, you will regret it. Now leave."
You like chapter? I personally am not very proud of this one. I wasn't sure how to transition into the next part of the story so yay! You basically just got a filler chapter. ;3
Peace out my dudes
