Sorry it's been a little while since I updated! I was really busy!
King Enji sits in his throne room patiently waiting for his son to enter. The so called Katsuki Bakugou had given him very useful information and he planned on telling his son as soon as possible, which happened to be right after Bakugou had left. If threatening wasn't going to be enough to keep his son from seeing Izuku Midoriya, informing him that she's a thief will hopefully work. Not that he's gone to see her yet, but the King was sure his son had lied to him.
"Father you asked to see me?" Todoroki announced his presents for the second time in that week.
"Yes, my son. This 'Deku' that you claim to be your friend. I have been informed of her real identity." Enji paused, waiting for his son to intervene, or to give some kind of response.
But only silence followed, the result of Todoroki being too shocked and angry to say anything. Sure he had been curious of who she was, but he didn't want to know, not really. Not when just knowing her identity and status could sever their friendship, and now romantic relationship, forever. He could feel his anger staring to grow and it was being directed at not only his father but himself as well. Why did I tell him about her? Why? I should've just lied and been punished. I shouldn't've have done that! Now she's going to be in danger. Todoroki thought disappointedly.
"Her real name is Izuku Midoriya. I'm sure you've heard of her." Enji finished his announcement and continued to examined his son for a reaction.
Todoroki couldn't even begin to explain how much surprise he felt at the news. He wasn't too sure what to expect. A low commoner that's pretty much unknown, maybe a low class noble. He wasn't sure. But this, a thief. This was completely and utterly unexpected. And not only a thief but one of the most wanted thieves. His eyes widened but he made no move to talk. His shock taking away his ability to speak.
"I'm sure your surprised, my son." The cruel king commented after a giving Shoto a moment of contemplation.
Todoroki wanted to laugh. Surprised? It seemed like such a meaningless word for what he was feeling now. It was, to put it simply, an understatement.
"But I want you to swear to me that you won't see her again. I don't know what she's trying to do, but I don't trust her one bit. So swear to me you won't visit her ever again." The monarch said. If he didn't command it harshly it would have sounded like he was actually worried for his son.
"Fine." Todoroki responded after a frustrating moment of silence. "I won't visit her again." Just like the last time, he had lied, but his anger was evident and laced his voice, leading the King to actually believe him. Or at least trust him more than their prior conversion.
"I'm glad you understand, you may leave now." King Enji ended the conversation and watched as his son walked away. Turning on his heal and swiftly moving out of the room. After a minute of running the conversation over in his head the strict and fear striking king gave one last order.
"Bring me Eijiro Kirishima." He orders to the guards scattered across the room. One reluctantly and uncomfortably makes his way out of the room to fetch Kirishima.
A few minutes later the guard returns with Todoroki's personal knight by his side. He had been trying to talk with Todoroki for only a few minutes when the employee pridefully waltzed inside declaring that his presence was requested by the King.
A once powerful aura melts and the skittish servant quickly shuffles across his room to his previous position, forcing Kirishima to stand alone under the fearful gaze of a fire covered king. Despite the intense atmosphere Kirishima stands straight and proud, not letting any of his panic show.
"I understand your close to my son." Enji says getting a nod as a response from Kirishima. Then he continues, "Did you know of his meetings with Izuku Midoriya?"
Kirishima learned of Deku's real identity quickly, in fact he had known for a few days. Because of this instead of gasping or something of the manner Kirishima hangs his head seemingly in shame. "Yes, Sir." He says taking the manly path of not lying. "I'm sorry for not informing you of this in the beginning." Kirishima says this, but he doesn't regret it or feel sorry for keeping his closest friend's secret. He knew how much Todoroki enjoyed seeing Deku, and as his friend Todoroki being happy made Kirishima happy.
"It's fine." King Enji waved off the confession. "That is as long as you promise to watch over Todoroki and inform me if he plans to sneak out again, especially if it's to visit Izuku Midoriya."
Kirishima gulped. He was told this would happen. And he was told to agree to the terms. And so he did so, and with an intention of keeping the promise. "I will do as you wish Sir. Thank you for your forgiveness, I am truly sorry."
Enji nodded respectfully towards the door signally for Kirishima to take his exit. After a slight bow Kirishima headed out the door with a heavy, guilty feeling bugging him. He knew it had to be done, and he was determined to do so, but Todoroki would probably never understand and it made his heart ache. And so he assured himself everything would work out one last time, and headed towards his friend that he felt as if he had just betrayed.
I think everyone is going to be mad at Kirishima now too but that's ok because it's part of a plan and all shall be forgiven (I came up with a way so that hopefully no one will be mad at Bakugou and Krishima in maybe 2 or 3 chapters)
Hopefully u enjoyed
