She felt power surging through her veins
until it disintegrated
She grew possibilities on a tree and watered it with tears
until the tree was cut down
She felt like the weight of the sky had been taken off her
until it all came crashing down
In her mind she was perfect
locked in a box, unable to see the light poking through
she could only see pockets of the real world
for she was stuck in a fantasy
and the key was her heart
but she couldn't seem to reach it
since she didn't understand herself
She remained locked in a cage
She couldn't see herself
or the potential she had
She gave and she gave till everything was taken out
and she was left empty
for she couldn't see the real world
only pockets of the sky
everything was just a haze
until she was disintegrated
until she was cut down
until everything came crashing down on her
