It was too quiet for the both of them. Connor was reading her book, and Harry had the television turned down so she wouldn't be distracted.

She slammed her book closed and put it on the coffee table.

"Let's build a fort," she said.

"Wh—" he turned, and looked at her. "Okay."

He shut the telly off and stood up. She walked to the closest and took all the blankets out. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed duct tape and push pins. She started pushing the couches out of the way and brought chairs from the dining room and the kitchen into the center of the living room. She set them up across each other, and Harry started throwing blankets over them. They secured the blankets in place and started filling the area with pillows and blankets. Soon enough, there was a couple layers of just blankets on the floor. They used the rest of the blankets to cover all the light sources in the house.

"It looks nice," she said.

"It's missing something," he said.

"What?"

He ran into the bedroom, and brought a few flashlights back.

"Why do you own so many flashlights?" She laughed.

"Who knows?" He chuckled and laid the lights around the outside of the fort facing in. He switched all of them on, and they climbed in the tent.

"It's so comfortable," she said, and laid back on the cushions. He laid down beside her, and cuddled up to her.

"Why are you so scared, Harry?" She asked after a long comfortable silence.

"Of what?"

"The party," she whispered.

"I told you, they don't-"

"Tell me the truth," she demanded.

Harry let out a long breath. "They don't really like me all that much. They always used to think I stole the spotlight and sang the most and got the most fans, so they kinda formed a little pack against me. The last time I saw them they told me that they never wanted to see me again and that they were glad to be done with me. I told myself for the longest time that it was because of their girlfriends, except it didn't make sense. Eleanor was a great friend to me, I never even had a conversation with Dani, Perrie didn't like me though, she told me, and Niall doesn't even have a girlfriend. So I just finally realized why they didn't include me in that much over the years, they simply don't like me.

"I'm afraid that when I see them again they will still have this set image in their heads that I'm a horrible attention whore, and that I hate everyone, but I'm not like that, never was, never will be. I just—"

"I'm sorry."

"I just hope they can open their minds, and forgive me for whatever I did wrong."

"I'm sure everything will go great at the party," she nodded.

"One can hope," he said.

"Goodnight, Harry."

"Goodnight, Connor."
