☆ Chapter 1 - Worlds Collide ☆

A long time passed ever since the Neo Squidbeak Splatoon was formed. For most of the time, peace took over the land now that Inklings and Octarians are finally friends again. And the ones with bad intentions would have a hard time thanks to the heroes' watchful eyes.

It seemed like everything was going well...
...for this world.

What they would soon discover is something no one expected in the slightest.

In the skies above the world of humanoid cephalopods, a heated situation was at hand.

Some sort of spaceship was slowly crash-landing as part of its engine was in flames, while winged demons chased the ship, shooting energy blasts from their mouths.
The pilot inside the ship was pressing buttons, trying to slow down the ship and make the landing less bumpy. Using the radar, he prepared a counter attack. He used the brakes so the demons would fly past him, and once they were in the reticle's range, he shot them down with the spaceship's laser weapons.
Free to concentrate on landing, he used the brakes so he wouldn't crash on a rock and landed on a barren wasteland. He then quickly got out of the cockpit to put out the fire. He does so by gathering some energy on his palm, and using it to unleash a psychic push, blowing the wind hard enough to put it out.

Naturally, he was exhausted after what just happened. He sat on a rock, panting.

"...pant...pant...holy crap...pant..."
He put his hands on his forehead, and tried to calm down. Isolated.

Meanwhile...

A lot of time had passed ever since peace was restored between Inklings and Octarians. That allowed the latter to really upgrade their hometowns, forming a new country: Oitalla. The Octarian areas were no longer a sea of rocky mountains, but rather a large city just like Inkopolis, with its own culture, activities, and more. All while the city is powered entirely by renewable energy.
As for the Squidbeak, they made the Octarian Military HQ their secret hideout. A hidden passage inside a heavily protected VIP room leads to said hideout. It's the place where they decide their next move, and have access to some tools.

Currently, Abigail and Cuttlefish were the only ones inside.

"Codenames, you say?" Cuttlefish asked.
"Yeah. I think it would be easier to memorize than just agent numbers. Plus, it just sounds nicer." She responded.
"Hmm...that could work. But we'd need to call everyone first."
"I plan to. We need to all agree on what codename to choose."
"I'll consider the idea!"
"And about Emily and Lukas. How are they?"
"They're fine! Looks like they're close to mastering the new ink."
"That's reassuring." She smiled.

Shortly after that, her phone got a notification ping. She checked it out.

[Unizo] - Hey. I need you to come to the control room. Something odd came up.

"...Sorry, Cap. But looks like I'm needed right now."
"That's fine! I'll go back home and decide what to eat for lunch. Till next time!"

They both left the hideout, and Abigail made her way to the control room. Uni and Petra were waiting.
"Sup?" Abi asked.
"The satellite detected something odd just now." Petra explained.

She walked over to the two and looked at the monitor.
"According to the scan...some sort of flying vehicle entered the atmosphere, flew past Inkopolis' skies and then landed on a wasteland." Uni said.
"...entered the atmosphere? You're saying the satellite detected a spaceship?" Abi responded.
"Honestly...it's what we're leaning towards at the moment." Petra said.
"Looks like it's still functioning too. It seems to have hit the brakes around this point." Uni said, pointing at a part of the ship's trajectory.
"...you think we're dealing with aliens, or something?" Abi asked.
"I dunno. But I think it's worth checking out." Petra answered.
"Send the scout drone first. If we're dealing with something that isn't friendly, we should at least know what it is first." She responded.
"Roger that." Uni said, going towards the drone controls.
