Everyone was back at the main Zharyugo Cruiser, and it was making its way towards Savyala, a planet mostly filled with wastelands and deserts thanks to resource exploration long ago.
The trip was long enough for the Crusaders to have a training session with Madeline and rest for a bit. André got up earlier than the others, because he wanted to check on Ivory and see what exactly happened to him.
When he made his way to the room he was resting in, he saw Madeline waiting too.
"Oh hello."
♤Heya. You wanted to take a look too, I assume?♤
"Yeah...I'm still unsure of what happened."
♤You said earlier that the move was called "Arrow of Purification'", right? If that's really the case, I have a idea of what it may have done.♤
"...You think it'll make Ivory a good person?"
♤Maybe. But there's only one way of finding out.♤
She knocked on the glass to get one of the medic's attention. She then made a signal to wake him up. The medic picked up a syringe with a transparent solution and injected it on Ivory. Madeline and André then entered the room, and the medic lowered metal shutters to serve as safety precautions.
Ivory started to open his eyes.
"^...ugh...^"
Once his vision stopped blurring, he noticed Madeline and André.
"^...you two?...where am I?...^
♤On a Zharyugo ship. How are you feeling?♤
"^...I'm feeling lightheaded...^"
"Do you remember what happened?"
"^...yes. I remember everything. The things I was forced to do for Dissle...our recent battle...^"
♤...forced to do? Are you telling me you were brainwashed?♤
"^More or less.^"
Ivory slowly sat down on the bed he was on.
"So then...do you remember what happened before you were...yknow..."
"^I don't know what actually happened. One day, I was just in my room minding my own business when suddenly...Dissle's magic influence took over.^"
♤...go on.♤
"^Dissle created the Paragons of Shadow. Thus, he is able to use his magic to control us using his Dark Arts. But he never did up until that day...^"
"But wait. You said you remember everything you did for Dissle?"
"^When I was called to his room along with the other Paragons, he said he..."finally understood the truth about mortals, and that they must be eliminated." Something among those words.^"
♤So that's how it started...?♤
"^I don't know why though. On that day, he just...snapped. For no apparent reason.^"
He looked over at Madeline.
"^I am so sorry for all the bad I have caused...all the lives I've taken...I--^"
♤You don't need to apologize. It's clear that you did all of this against your will. And now, you have a chance of redepmtion.♤
"^Come again?^"
"You can join us! With your help, we will be able to free the other two Paragons and take the fight to Dissle himself!"
Ivory just stayed silent, thinking for a bit.
"^Where is this ship headed?^"
♤Savyala. To assist our allies currently defending the planet.♤
"^That's the planet Eveline was assigned.^"
"The assassin?"
"^Yes. She wants to collect the planet's magic minerals in order to greatly strengthen Dissle's forces.^"
♤That's not good. Then we must head there as fast as we can.♤
Ivory looked over at André.
"^...I don't think I ever caught your name, kid.^"
"Oh, uh...Alexandre Bastos from Zytruvia. But you can call me André."
"^Well, I'm sure you know who I am. Nice to properly meet you.^"
♤André here leads a small team of individuals with great potential.♤
"^I noticed three Splatversians are among them? They seem strong too, something I don't believe I've seen before.^"
"Hehehe. It's a long story."
