☆ Chapter 9 - The Shadow's Symphony ☆

"André here. Everyone is back on board and we are on our way towards the planet's surface. How are you two doing?"
♤We took out the troops who were trying to steal the magic minerals. The scan should reveal our next destination at any moment now.♤

A few seconds later, the scan completed. A unusually high concentration of magic minerals was detected in a open area.

'Scan's up.'
"^Looks like it's located on a open area near the center of the north hemisphere. You know what to do.^"
^We're on our way!^
"×Just try not to fall behind. Hehe.×"
♤We'll be arriving soon too. See you there. Madeline out.♤

André rocket-boosted the Stargazer towards the objective.

Meanwhile...

On the open area the gang was flying towards, there was a building which looked like a small, abandoned store.
Someone was approaching that store while riding a Speeder (a futuristic bike of sorts, similar to Star Wars.). A girl. She had Orange-red colored hair and was wearing a olive-green blouse, a backpack, a dusty golden belt with a pink-ish crystal and dark brown boots.

Once the arrived right outside the building, she used some modern binoculars to look around. She looked at the skies and noticed that a Zytruvian ship was descending and approaching them from far away.

|...shit.|

After seeing that, she got out of the Speeder and rushed inside, slamming the door behind her. The store had a variety of bombs and arrows on display. Another girl was inside as well: A brown-haired elf girl wearing a white shirt covered by a dusty blue jacket. She had a bow on her back and was wearing white gloves.

|Aye! The chest is hidden. But a ship is coming. Are the bombs rigged?| The orange-hair girl had a scottish accent.

The other girl nodded, tossing over a cylinder remote with a button on the top.

|Thanks, lassie. Seriously. Just get ready.|

She went to the other side of the desk, hiding her hand with the remote. After that, she took out a bottle of water from her backpack and started drinking.

Not too long after the ship had landed, dark knights bursted through the door, taking position in the walls of the small building. The girls were trying to keep their cool.
Once all the knights entered, a woman wearing some dark armor and a skull-mask while armed with a naginata walked towards the girls in a menacing way. It was Eveline. Once she got to the desk, she hit the base of the weapon on the floor.

|...Aye. How do you do?--|
-^I don't want to waste time, mortal. You will tell us where your weapons are right now.^-

Meanwhile, the Stargazer was approaching the area too.

"We're nearing the destination."
'...is that a Zytruvian ship right there?'
^That's not good. Speed up, André, speed up!^

He kept the rocket boost going while he approached the area.

|Whoa there. That's no way to greet someone, lass. Where are your manners?|

In response, Eveline held her weapon and pointed the blade right at the girl's face. The archer got into a defensive stance.

-^I don't care about manners right now, lady. You will submit your weapons right this instant, or else I will send you to the spirit realm. Am I being clear enough?^-

André was charging up a shot with the gunship's blasters.

"Someone go to a turret and target the ship! We can't let them escape!"
'On it.'
Unizo rushed towards one of the turrets.
