Alcor & Mizar

The Chasm (part 2)

Author: A very good hello to you too! Last chapter I forgot to mention the clothes Alcor and Mizar wore to this deathly quest so I will just be describing them for you right now:- So  Alcor wore a simple black tee with a galaxy square in the front with some black, torn jeans. Mizar also wore a black tee and black camouflage pants. Now, the reason they wore black was because of the advice of the seniors back at Venus, who told them if they wore black, they would be well camouflaged in the darkness outside the barrier:) Enjoy....

A: "Owww" I said, clutching my head, because a fall like that would have definitely killed a regular human but thank god we had wings...... allow me to explain,

After we entered the 'great beyond' outside the safe protection of the barrier of Venus, this is what happened....it was now really dark and we had barely walked like twenty feet and suddenly, I stepped on a lose rocky mush and fell, pulling Mizar down with me because no way in hell would I let him watch me fall alone!

According to the time it had been since we were falling.... this Chasm was about fifty feet deep, and after I came out of my daze, I heard yelling;

M: "ALCOR! Are you alright?" Yelled that annoying, yet concerning voice belonging to Mizar, no doubt.

A: "W-what h-happened?" I yelled back whilst understanding that we were yet falling into total darkness.

M: "You happened" He said, putting on his famous, devilish smirk though with a look of concern this time. Seriously? He was smirking whilst falling probably to his death? He always has the wrong timings! "You stepped on a weak part of some rocky mush and fell, suddenly clinging onto my shirt, making me fall on top of you" Now, thank god it was dark here because for some dumb reason, my face was heating up.

A: "Ohh....umm...sorry about that!" I said, in a normal tone because we seriously did not want to attract any unwanted attention.

M: "Get your wings out!" He frantically yelled back as he looked down and I followed his gaze to see that we were closing in on the ground.

Despite transforming and getting our wings out, the chasm was too narrow and so we ended up slowing the speed of our fall which was mildly helpful and crash landed at the bottom. After crash landing, we blacked out for like two minutes and then immediately woke up to an unfamiliar yet horrific sound.

A: "Are you alright, Mizar?" I whispered.

M: "Yeah" He whispered back.

I took in our surroundings, the air here was damper and wetter with a not-so-good-smelling stench. It smelled like some rat died, although not one but dozens of them.

Then we heard it, the extraordinary squeal with loud thumping closing in on us, and before long, there was a ten foot tall, dark figure, looming above us. A Loathing...

As I looked up, I froze. Wrong time! chided my inner voice. But I could not help it, I was just looking at an actual Loathing, the dark figure with black eyes and sharply pointed teeth, claws so big, they could tear you in half in one swipe. Yes, no turning back now. Naturally, my instinct was to go all she-devilish and bash that brute, but Mizar had other plans......

M: "Uhhh,... Hey big guy!" He said softly, shaking his hand into a frantic wave. Not very wise

Loathing: "What are you doing?" The figure said back, in a deep, husky male voice, but not quite human. Mizar had a surprised expression as if to say 'This guy can speak?' Well Duh! You just spoke to him!

M: "Oh....well, nice to meet you! I am Mizar and this is my partner and very good friend, Alcor" I actually also expected to him to say 'And we have come here to tear your limbs apart and take what is rightfully ours' with how this conversation was going...

There was an eerie silence from our receiver.

M: "Hello? Are yo-" He was cut short when the Loathing began to speak.

L: "Hmmm.......Vampirus."

What? Did I hear him right? How can this brute tell if we are Vampirus? Maybe he can sense a powerful being nearby because if that's the case, then we are so dead.

M: "Uhh..y-yeah. You got that right buddy!" Excuse me? Buddy?  "We are Vampirus" I gave Mizar a death glare because he cannot just go and blurter out our secret to anybody, especially the enemy like that! Now, if the Loathing won't do the honours, then I certainly would by killing him!

He gave me a reassuring look that said 'Its okay, no danger, don't worry'  There was more silence...this Loathing sure takes his time! Then suddenly, there was a swift movement and Mizar and I both were.......embraced by the Loathing in a hug? Well, I won't take my chances.

Just as the Loathing caught us, I kicked him right at the stomach with my knee.

L: "Owww!" He whined like a child. "That hurt! I was just saying 'hello' to my new friends. Isn't that how you people do it? Finally, you have come!"

Okay, now I think I was gonna hurl....
