. . .

Something felt like it was trapped in Katya's stomach since minute she woke this morning. It was so strong that it woke her out of her sleep.

It wasn't like the feelings she got looking at Elijah. Not the warmth in her stomach or the tingle in her birth mark. It wasn't bad per say. Wasn't good either. Just... different.

Maybe it's just the butterflies.

Quit lying to yourself.

She roll her eyes but she know it's true. Katya wasn't nervous about going on this date, looking stupid or even the questions that will revolve around why she came here. She's been asked this too many tines so the lie just rolls off her lips as easy as the truth.

She's worried about why. Why did he take an interest in her? What possessed him to be rude at first but change into the nice guy now? How come she was so easy to accept his kindness?

Trust no one here. Don't let people in. Don't get attached.

She could almost hear her uncle's voice as if he was with her.

Her uncle would call this being stupid, naive and whatnot. This isn't being safe. This is just trying to get yourself hurt.

But even though she thought this she didn't have the strength to pick up the phone and cancel.

.. ..

"What are you wearing?" Charlie said with pure horror in his voice. Katya rolls her eyes as she pushed her earrings in. She goes to her bed where her scarf lays, knowing it'll be too cold for her to handle. Even though it October was more than half way done. She realizes that it is so easy for her to get cold, her teeth chattering too loudly. She hated that.

"You do realize I don't always have to wear a skirt nor a dress, right?" She asked.

"I know but that's so boring! And you wear that sweater all the time!"

"Its just the bakery, Char-"

"No it's not."

She turns to him, slowly stopping in wrapping her scarf around. "What do you mean, kid?"

"Do you really think I'd let you go to that little shop of ours for your first date?" He answered, a smiling on his face.

"Charlie!"

. . . .

So this is what it feels like when your crush or something stands out the door and waits for you.

She thinks after she rings the doorbell twice. It's cold and the leather jacket is only doing half the job as her fluffy sweater would have. She in a white long sleeved blouse with a high waist blue skirt. Tights of course because it's so cold. She had to fight Charlie on only putting lipstick and eyeliner (which she won). She huffs at it. When Charlie showed her where'd they would be having dinner, Katya knew she had to changed. By the four stars and how pretty it looked she knew it was expensive. Before she could object Charlie already thrown it that he and Zara already paid it off.

"Kitty Kat!" Maxwell had been the one to open the door. Katya smiles and the little girl does as well, a tooth missing from her bottom row.

"How is my favorite little girl?" Katya says, kissing all over her cheeks. She giggles, pushing Katya's face away with her small hands.
