Hiii guys. This chapter is probably just about where Katya's brother (twin) has been. Okay read children.
.. ..
As soon as Caleb let go of her and her feet touched the ground, Katya was crying, wiping the tears that kept sliding down her face. God, he's grown so much. Caleb was nothing but muscles and wide shoulders. He carried himself a lot like her- their- uncle did. Like Katya, they took their mother's thick back hair and their father's olive skin. However, he took from their dad something Katya didn't; green eyes. And they were still as bright as she remembers.
"Are you okay? I knew something wasn't right. I... I felt it. And uncle called me... I drove all night just to get here." He explain, a wrinkle of worry stuck on his forehead.
"I've..." She looks over to where...they stand. They all love gravelly serious. Eyes still stuck on Caleb. Well except Elijah, whose eyes were solely on Katya. It made her squirm and return her gaze to her twin. "I'm fine now."
"Bullshit. Even though it's been years since I've seen you, you still can't lie to me. I know you, Katya. Better than anyone else. I still love you."
A growl came from the back of Elijah throat. His claws were digging into the flesh of his plans. It hurt his wolf so bad to know that his mate trusted this thing over him so easily. Even when they've all witness his supernatural ability quite clearly. And the fact that she was his. He is usually not possessive and he personally be erased thought he would even think words like that. But then he found Katya.
"We need to talk. Alone." Caleb said as he eyed the Alpha.
"She isn't going anywhere with you." Elijah stepped forward, but still within distance of Katya.
"I second that." Oliver said. Standing beside Elijah. Zara, with care, stood too. Everyone was behind him except for Charlie who had been biting his nails for the majority of the time. They all looked towards him.
"I can drive you some place." Charlie offered, pulling out his key. Caleb nodded in gratitude, pulling Katya towards the door. Elijah made another growl and so did Kai, aiming it towards Charlie.
"I'm not apart of your pack. I don't follow your rules. I follow what's right. And you," He points a Kai, tone sharp, "should know how it is when you show someone you're a werewolf. How fucking terrifying it is. Put yourself in her shoes." Kai was silent and Charlie laughs dryly. "Yeah . Shut the fuck up."
The room was silence as Charlie made his exit. For no one has ever seen the boy like that before.
.. ..
"So what exactly are you?"
Was the first question that flew out of her mouth. Charlie had brought them to his house, making sandwiches and drinks. Coffee for Caleb though. Even back then at the age of 11 he drank coffee once a day.
Caleb takes his time, chewing as he thinks over his words. He swallows thickly, looking Katya right in her eyes. "Do you know the story of your pregnancy?"
Katya shakes her head, confused at how that was going answer her question. Caleb sighed, putting his mug down.
"Mom is a witch. Like a full blown, potions and spells kind of witch. We both are. Just. Let that sink in a bit." Caleb muttered.
"N-no." She stuttered, frustrated tears building up. "Just k-keep going." God, how could she be kept in the dark for this long? A witch? Seriously?
"Okay. So she is a witch. Obviously giving birth to us makes us witches too. I was the first out. But you... you were killing mom. You were coming feet first. And you seemed to be much too small. Mom knew you were going die. She saved you. But by doing so, all her power went into you. This makes you the stronger of us two.
"Dad knew this. Dad is also a supernatural. He's a were-"
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Katya hissed. Caleb shook his head.
"Thus making us hybrids. But I've learned long ago that I am only a witch. I didn't take any from dad. You, however are a mystery. We do know you're a witch, being that mom save you and all that. But I'm guessing you haven't turned into a wolf?"
She shakes her head, her hands shaking around the mug she said holding. It's one of her worst habits.
"Hey," Caleb said, setting down her cup and grabbing her hands.
"Everything is going to get better. We are going figure this out. Together. I'm back now and I'm not leaving."
"Okay. O-okay, I believe you. I trust you."
"Good." He smile, his dimple appears.
"Now... the reason I left was pretty... stupid looking back at it. There are people, who were after us for a long time. Dad probably being one of the strongest werewolf ever seen in a long time. He was apart of the Council. Finding out that his mate is having hybrids set both hunters and other supernatural beings in chaos. Some wanted to see him fall. Others wanted make hybrids as well with... Mom." He cringed at that.
"But why couldn't they do that with any other creature?" Katya asked.
"Because of how witches and werewolves came to be. God made both the species to protect. To be guardians or somewhat of the supernaturals. Witches got energy from the world around them. Which is all pure. Werewolves are well, loyal. They aren't necessarily the purest but dad's lineage is. If you have children with that kind of purity, it's harder to defeat them. And there aren't that many witches anymore. At least not with pure blood."
"That doesn't exactly explain how werewolves are so."
Caleb sighed. "Okay from what I know, all werewolves live under one code: through pain thy shall grow. as blood falls, thy shall rise. if one gone, all shall come. Its meant for how every pack should be ran because of their creation story. I don't know all of it but with every pack comes a story. I'm pretty sure this pack has to do with rain or something."
There was a silence. Katya was trying her hardest to wrapped her brain around it all. It nearly hurt.
"That's why dad left mom."
Katya's head snapped up. "What?"
"The night they got into a really big fight? Remember I said I'd go check it out? Well, they were arguing. Something about it they don't know about one of us. If we will be safe. Being young and stupid I thought if I ran away, I'd be saving everyone. And because you weren't showing your powers, I thought they'd forget about the rest of you guys and just come after me." He gave a humorless laugh. "I didn't know even know what I was saving everyone from."
"They told me you ran away. They made me stay home while they looked for you."
"Yeah, they did. I didn't get far. Only like... uh, three miles at the most. But instead of bringing me back home he took me further. He and mom ended it. He never really talked about who he married or what does his kids look like. Dad was smart. He left no trace of himself in Minnesota. He said he was dead on all of your papers. Took me to private teacher and everything. Mom hated the idea. She thought it was awful. But it kept you safe. Kept all of us safe. Until now."
"What do you mean?"
"Even supernatural twin shares a bond. That's why we both have that birth mark that kinda looks alike. So whatever happened last night or whatever, I felt it. I felt as horrible you did. I can't see your thoughts but I see the colors of your emotions. I have the marks from all your fights, whatever those might be from I don't know." Katya nearly froze at the mention of them. She nearly forgot about all her bruises.
"The winter solstice was when my powers at its peak. It's the only reason how I found you. Meaning your power will soon learn to grow. These wolves or whoever it is, they know this and they're coming for you. And they want blood."
