I woke up to Eva frantically shaking me awake.
"Alright! I'm up, I'm up! Jeez!" I groaned sitting up and rubbing my eyes. Eva just glared at me - what was going on? Then I spotted lady Artemis standing at the door to our tent a small smile on her face at my morning mood and I began stuttering,
"O-oh um, I am so sorry my lady, I-I didn't realise..." I trailed off,
"It's ok Lyra. You are forgiven." I breathed a sigh of relief,
"Thank you!" I gasped and grabbed my bow and slung my hunting bag over my shoulder, pulling my hair into a french braid that snaked round my neck. I ran to stand with the others just outside our tent adn lady Artemis began to speak,
"Girls. I have an assignment for you." she said, I strained my ears, intrigued, "As you know, I left yesterday to meet with Zeus and the olympians." we all nodded silently, "They have told me that they need eight demigods to venture on a quest for them." excited murmers rippled throughout the grup, but her ladyship cut them off, "Only five of which, will be hunters."
"But- your ladyship, that would mean that the other three would be from Camp Half-Blood..." Eva trailed off,
"Yes, Eva, that may involve travelling and working with..." she paused, "Boys." we uttured moans and complaints but Artemis held up a finger to silence us, "You leave in an hour." and with that, she turned away.
