{EDIT: DINOSAURS ARE COOL.}

     It's a nice Friday. Still a school day, but I don't mind. I've already gotten used to being back in the DWMA after a long summer about 2 weeks ago. We've started to get into busier work in class and actual missions are going to start real soon. Stein wanted to get into learning about dinosaurs (for some odd reason, though I theorize he dissects these extinct animals for legal reasons now {gotta handle those lawsuits smh}) and the "complex structure of the soul", so in other words- class isn't very fun (well, it's awful) and there's no way to get around that fact. Training won't start until next week, but I could already feel the (monster energy drink/coffee powered) energy radiating off of BlackStar like Chernobyl {Whoops, awful joke.} (to which fills me with fear seeing him transform into an even more narcissistic and boisterous ninja than before somehow [breaking into my house for Cheetos could be an example]). Speaking of seeing friends, Death the Kid has a party today and I'm really excited for it. I haven't seen him and his entourage in a while, so I wonder how they're doing. Would Crona be there? I should ask him in class.

     After getting dressed for school, I run outside to catch up with Maka and we just talk (like always). "Dude, I think BlackStar has finally lost it!" Her murmured joke is covered with chortles. "Hahaha, didn't he always? What'd he do this time?" I give her a silly smirk after my sarcastic response. "Tsubaki's been having a harder time with BlackStar and his large (fragile) ego recently. Training hasn't even started yet!" She complains. "I guess he's really hyped up for missions 'n stuff.." I remark, though Maka continues to rant. "Everyday Soul has to go and help Tsubaki, so now he can't even walk with us in the mornings!" "Well, they are really close friends, so..." I answer nonchalantly, "Though I guess Stein may be too invested in dissecting the remains of dead shit than actually doing something important." I add. We both snicker at how strangely accurate that statement was. Stein was always unsettling (and was probably hired as a teacher since he was a cheep option) as the extroverted BlackStar has a deep obsession with physical activities (and an ego the size of Jupiter), but I guess we still love and care about them very much despite those (rather nagging) idiosyncrasies. "So, Kid's party is today." Maka mentions. "Yeah, I can't wait. It's been a while since I've been to these parties." I say. Maka grabs out an envelope and hands it to me. "Kid didn't know your address, so he told me to give this to you. I'm pretty sure it's just the details of the party." "At the last minute?" I chuckle. Maka shrugs. "Hah. I know I'm not one to say this, but I guess it's better late than never." We continue walking as I study the envelope. "To (Y/N)" My name lies in the center of the neatly folded paper. His fancy and simple calligraphy is bolded in black ink and rid of stray marks. I could already tell he still hasn't gotten over his OCD yet. It's a simple envelope, so there's not much to see. I'll just open it later. Suddenly, I notice that Maka has stoped walking. She taps my shoulder. "Last one to reach the DWMA is a rotten egg!" She laughs as he dashes away. "Hey!" I catch up to her, laughing.

     "... and this is the fossil of a Compsognathu-." Stein cuts himself off as the class starts giggling softly. "If this class can't take this lesson seriously, I'll dissect you al-" He turns over to notice another teacher, Mrs. Marie, suddenly walking past the doorway. He clears his throat, "Send you all to detention." He glares at all the students, menacingly. "Hey, Crona?" I whisper to the rose colored boy. He turns and looks at me with a small, pretty smile and soft eyes. "Yes, (Y/N)?" His quiet velvety voice answers. "You're going to Kid's party tonight, right?" "Ah, I might." Crona answers. "Oh, cool! I'll se-" Crona and I dodge a sharp dissecting knife that struck the wall between us. Terrified, we turn our heads to face an angry Stein. "One more word and I won't miss the next time." He warns sternly. "W-we're sorry, Sir! We won't d-do it again!" Crona and I both apologize in sync. "Good. Now let's continue the lesson." Crona and I glance at each other with flustered grins and sigh.
