{Hey guys!! I hope all of you are doing great!! Here's one Halloween one shot out of two (second one will be posted soon!!), though for this one I wanted to make an edgy thing very vaguely based off of a Ray Bradbury short story I guess!! I hope this isn't too cringeworthy lmao. Happy (day after) Halloween!!}
A young lady walked through the empty, stone corridors of the school. Her (H/C) hair flew as she went, her beautiful (E/C) eyes pierced her destination. She was struck by something, an earlier event that had perturbed her so deeply. Something is wrong, she sensed. Could it be that the kishin's power had spread to even our most durable allies? No matter how much she mused, she wanted not to answer. Her mind spun, her stomach churned, to think nothing was safe. At the moment, the only desire the girl had was to enjoy time with a companion of hers before it was too late. She knew she couldn't lose him, but she wasn't sure what could happen.
She reached to the metal door and softly knocked on it. "Hey! You there?" Her voice was a little above moderate volume. Silence was the only answer given. "Anyone?" Still more silence. The girl chuckled, though lacking much meaning of humor. "I'll probably come in if you can't answer." Instantly, a voice finally appeared. "No!" He finally answered through the door. "You shouldn't come in, please don't..." his timid and trembling voice continued. For him, he knew what was happening. He hid to keep away from other people in order to prevent doing anything drastic. The boy is a danger to society, a weapon of mass destruction. He knew he could become something horrific in a heartbeat. His companion didn't seem to believe so however; she always aided him, much to his appreciation, though she always understood his boundaries. "Oh, I see..." her pink lips said softly, "You think we could just talk here?" "Maybe..." he replied. Through the tiny gated window on the cell door, she was able to see some of his body in the corner of the room, hiding from her. The moments she was able to see his face however, she could see the restlessness in his visible and sad eyes as well as the drying tear stained cheeks of his. However even when he felt despair, (Y/N) always managed to paint a smile on his face. He didn't want to lose her either.
It was almost evening. (Y/N) slowly walked out of a building, her fingers keeping hold of the large wooden doors that were pushed against her. It was pouring, the cold rainwater shooting the floor from the grey skies as if it were an army of thin bullets. The heavy pitter patter sounds of the showers reminded her of the outburst between that vain, blue ninja and Lord Death's son earlier that month, to which she wished not to remember. The strong scent of petricor in the air resembled the stench of death. The reek of madness. It filled (Y/N)'s lungs as if she were a coffin, though the odor having the figurative power to rot her insides if she stood in it for too long. It wasn't as though she'd mind much however, (Y/N) was, in a way, quite powerful after all. She wasn't, however, sure whether or not that would truly prevent her from the madness that was spreading throughout Death City like a pandemic. The strongest students enrolled in the DWMA were taken by such an ailment, the entire city is at its knees. While (Y/N), like many other people, should be quarantined in order to avoid such violence, (Y/N) couldn't help but wish to explore (no matter how much she knew it ignorant to do so). She had an umbrella of her favorite color with her, held in her elegant hand. She stepped out the door and began walking in the downpour.
It's been hours since (Y/N) walked outside; while the sky was getting hazardously dark, she couldn't find herself getting back to shelter. She missed the cool air against her skin, however she knew that she'd have to leave soon as the breeze will become heavy winds over time, eventually losing its caresses.
The grinning moon emerged from the east, its glowing yellow skin, along with the aid of the gothic fashioned lampposts standing linearly on the sides, illuminated the darkening streets of Death City. (Y/N), still holding her umbrella, was still walking outside. She tried to maneuver herself back home, though the darkness was thick. The youthful girl wasn't sure what exactly was out there; the rain had slowed its pelting, though through the dark foggy area around her, the light of the lampposts was the only thing visible in her eyes. (Y/N) knew from the start how bad of an idea it was to leave the safety of her home, especially when the power of madness is on the loose, but she didn't really find a problem within this. She just wanted to get to safety as carefully as she could.
In the midst of the cold night, the moon laughing in her face, (Y/N) could hear the faint sounds of moaning. The strange noises made her tremble, on her skin goose bumps formed from the nerves and cold. Should she explore it? She wanted to help this person, but she also wanted to stay safe. It could be another mad person on the streets after all. She walked as carefully as she could in order to prevent noise, but the street gravel under her shoes couldn't help but crush under friction. The agonizing noises had ceased. The silence was so thick, not even the sounds of cicadas showed its existence. The lack of sound somehow unnerved the girl ever more. She wanted to run, but where could she? (Y/N) turned around and to her fright, noticed somebody hunched to the floor.
His rose hair was ruffled and choppy. As his back was curled, his spine stuck out of the loose black attire wrapped around his body. He was laid on the empty streets, to which he and (Y/N) were the only people who inhabited them. The boy seemed almost frail and disheveled. (Y/N)'s eyes widened in shock, she recognized him. "Crona? Is that you?" She managed to whisper, frightened. The aforementioned still managed to keep his almost catatonic state. (Y/N) nervously laughed, "Dude, y-you good? Here, we should go back to my hou-" Crona's head turned sharply, (Y/N) choked on her words. His grin was wide and crooked, his eyes were as crazed as those of a savage animal's. He was affected by the madness no doubt. (Y/N) stumbled backwards. The girl didn't know what else to do but run; she truly cared for the boy and couldn't attack him because of such. "You came..." Crona said, his stare never faltering. "Uh.. C-Crona?" The girl could feel herself shake from worry, though she was somewhat curious. "(Y/N), I must tell you something... From this madness, I might lose my mind... But I..." his smile grew wide, he was horrifying. "(Y/N), I love you. I love you. I love you more than anything else in the world. I couldn't deal with telling you this, but I'll have to tell you now as I'm losing self control from the madness. I can't deal with the love I have for you, I've never felt this before. I am enamored by your elegance and beauty that go beyond words (and could never be found on anyone else), the passion in you that bleeds through heart and ambition, your intelligence that could even rival Maka or the son of Death's, the kindness and care and respect you give me even when I know I can't deserve it, the humor in your speech that lights up everything in my life, and there's so much more I can name. You're the most perfect girl I have ever met, it's true, I don't care if you don't believe me. I could never find another like you, everyone else only pales in comparison. I can't describe it. I know you're going to run from me, and as much as I advise you to, I want you to understand how I feel before I do something awful. I can't deal with the adoration I have for you..." while his crooked grin was still plastered on his face, there had become tears in his glossy light blue eyes. "Now run, run quickly as I know you don't reciprocate this sickening obsession I have for you." The anguished Crona finished, a heavy burden off his chest. He tried to control his violent urges. (Y/N) was flabbergasted, she didn't think she could move. She was in love with Crona of course, though never thought he could actually love her back. Her face was flushed. Was it possible that this was just the kishin's madness? A moment of silence passes until the rose colored boy laughs. "You stand there... Maybe you share this same feeling..." he walked closer to the girl, his thin arms were outstretched toward her. He had an indescribable expression illustrated on his face, (Y/N) couldn't make out what it was. She eventually found his cold lips on hers. He kissed her deep and passionately. His hands were wrapped around her, caressing all over her skin. (Y/N) never ceased to be shocked, Crona wasn't really the type to do this, (he almost seemed like a different person to her) but she enjoyed it. (Y/N)'s heart ached from happiness as she drowned in his intense contact, gasping as Crona's lips lowered to kiss the side her neck. Crona had desired to do this for a long time, to make her his lover, his perfect lady. He was almost depraved from both madness and adoration, a chaotic experience he couldn't deal with. The madness was kicking in more than he ever imagined, Crona knew he had to push her away before anything escalated by the loss of all control. Anxiety welled within him, he removed himself from his lover. "(Y/N)," he put his thin hands on her cheeks, "you should go home. I worry I might hurt you soon." The girl opened her eyes and lifted her head, she felt as though she was living in a dream. "I'm not gonna leave you, we'll go home together. I can't have my dude lose his mind out here!" She held his hands and smiled warmly. He smiled too, a genuine smile.

FanfictionMy writing was (and still is) really füçking cringe. I'm probably not going to delete this yet, despite how rough this was. Crona was originally male in this as to make it simpler to write, though later chapters will have them non binary since they...
