ADDIES POV

I let my arm bleed for awhile, just draining out the lies and hurt. I take the rag and clean myself up, and once I'm finished I shove everything underneath the sink.

Then, there's a knock at my door. I hide my arm behind my back and open the front door, and Jai looks up from his feet and smiles. His smile slightly fades. He stands there, smiling at me and I awkwardly rock back and forth on my heels waiting for him to say something. "Can I help you?" I finally ask. "Oh ya, um... Wanna talk?" Jai asks nervously. I nod and step away, shutting the door. I take in a sharp breath of air, I forgot my cuts! I turn to face Jai quickly. "Did you hear what happened a little ago? Upstairs?" He sighs. "Um, a little. But don't worry, I don't agree with her either." I laugh awkwardly. "What do you mean you don't agree with her?" Jai furrows his eyebrows. "I mean, I understand you don't love me. And as much as it hurts, in coping with it." I fake a smile, but I don't even notice the tear running down your cheek. "Addie that's not what I want to talk to you about. I do still love you Addie. I never stopped. I just thought you did, so I tried to move on. But I can't." Jai's voice trembled. I looked away, not knowing what to say. "I just need to ask you a question." He says, his voice even quieter. "Did you hit May?" He asks. I quickly look at him, shaking my head vigorously. Jai laughs a little and steps closer to me, wrapping his arms around my neck. My eyes stiffen open and all my muscles tighten up. Please don't see my cuts. He slowly pulls away, looking me in the eye. "Addie..." He whispers, but quickly I run up my stairs. I can hear his footsteps behind me and he's calling my name. The warm tears run down my face as I run into my room, locking the door behind me. I slide down the door, gripping my wrists, and crying. He knows. He knows that I'm pathetic enough to hurt myself because I missed his love. I missed his hugs, his kisses, his everything. I miss him so much enough to cut myself. The door rattles as Jai bangs on it. "Addie please let me in. Addie please." He cries. I don't say a word and just lean back against the door.

My body jolts up when the door pushes me away, opening up. Jai stands holding a key in his hands and he drops the key, running to me. I grip my wrists to my chest as he holds me tight. I cry into his shoulder and he cries down my back. "Addie I need you. Please don't do this. Please" he whimpers.
