-----Liberty-----Standing right before me, was none other than Seth Parker. I was shocked. The wonderful smell was coming from him! He was my mate!
Immediately I started arguing with myself. One part, my heart- the sappy side, and my brain- fear driven. I felt like a madwoman.
My heart told me he loved me. He gazed at me with love and adoration, a small tinge of fear of being rejected in his beautiful green eyes. He'd let me chose how to live. He'd let me remain free as well as belong to him. I longed to listen to my heart.
Others had noticed and turned to watch. I felt my face turn red. I began to feel panicked.
My brain told me that he couldn't possibly want me. A freak with two different colored eyes. He would keep me locked up, unable to run free. I didn't like this side of myself. It was my fear side.
Then it clicked. Lost shifters left when they had a huge problem to think over. That's what I had to do!
-----Seth-----
Liberty, my beautiful Liberty, looked as if she was about to tear into two. I wanted to take her into my arms and comfort her. But I didn't dare. Her beautiful eyes displayed two different things. Love, in one eye, and fear in the other.
Then she suddenly straightened and her eyes cleared. Her blush faded.
All that thinking had happened in a second. He stepped towards me, and I held my breath. She whispered next to my ear and I shivered as her breath tickled my neck. I breathed her sweet smell, fearful of her answer.
"I can't decide right now, and I must go so I can find it. I promise I'll return to you to tell you my answer. Until then Seth."
She stepped back, moving towards the doors. Everyone watched in silent confusion. She went outside, and I watched as her humanness melted away, replaced by a silver mare. I was frozen. Then I shot forwards. Grabbing onto her mane, I stroked her face. She leaned against me, eyes showing torn emotions. My voice was barely a whisper when I spoke.
"I understand Liberty. But please come back."
She nodded and rubbed her head against my chest. Then stepped into the woods. I had to look away, and when I looked again, I saw only two beautiful eyes staring back at me. One blue and one brown.
