Chapter Four- Liberty

Ann and I woke up around eleven, and we had pancakes for breakfast. Afterwards we lazed around watching tv until about one, then we decorated the house for the party and set out food and drinks. When we finished it was about two, so we went upstairs to get ready for the party.

Ann pulled out my beautiful silvery dress from my closet. I loved my birthday dress. It went to just below my knees and fit nicely. It was a modest dress, and I quite liked it. I'd put it on after I had my hair done.

Ann had me wash my face with my special face wash. When I finished my face was soft and smooth. Then she got to work on my hair. My mid-back length brown hair was put up into a beautiful braid that I adored. It took awhile though. My hair was pretty thick.

Then I put on my dress. Ann tied the back and did my makeup. I didn't want a lot, however. So she put a bit of eye liner on my top lids, a bit of silvery black eye shadow, and some blush. And then we curved my eyelashes upwards a bit with a bit of mascara. Finally, I was done. I looked at the mirror in amazement. I looked beautiful. It was also now four.

"Thanks so much Ann!"

No problem Libby!"

"Now let's get to work on you Ann!"

I helped Ann get ready for the party. That took us the rest of the two hours we had before the party. Ann had a beautiful pale lavender dress on that went to just below her knees, like mine.

When we finished we could hear a few people downstairs. Ann took my hand and I took a deep breath before heading downstairs.
