“Is this really ethical?” I ask. “Shooting people for fun?”

“Leilah, relax.” Jerome said. “And lift your hands up.”

I do. “Do people really shoot each other for fun?”

He slipped something over my hands. It was a weird sort of green backpack thingy. Except it went around my front as well.

“What is this?” I ask.

“It’s your pack. With your gun.”

“I am not shooting people!” I say, backing away from him.

“Who’s not shooting people?” Someone asked from behind me.

I turned around, and began to smile. “Liiiiii!”

“What? No hello hug?” Louis asked, looking shocked. I noticed that the same girl who broke in to our apartment was here.

“Hi!” I said, waving at her.

She looked surprised. “Um.. Hi.”

“Don’t blame her, Kayla’s not very friendly.” Said Harry, rolling his eyes,.

She hit him. “Hey! I can be very friendly when I want to be.” And saying this, she came over me and lopped her hand around my waist. “Girls versus boys?”

“Oh, I don’t know.” I said seriously. “I think shooting people is unethical.”

Kayla took one look at me and burst out laughing.

“What?” I asked.

“Can I be a temporary girl?” Jerome asked.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” I said, jumping up and down. “Jerome has to be on our team!”

“Let’s see..” said Kayla through narrowed eyes. “First you need to pass the test.”
