°Dipper°

It was a bright and early Monday morning in Gravity Falls Oregon. Dipper Pines, an eighteen-year-old boy who was held back a year, due to personal reasons, was finally going to finish his senior year. He had settled into his room at the Mystery Shack, a tourist trap that his Great Uncles ran.

He had only returned to Gravity Falls a day ago, as the memories were too painful, but he had nowhere else to go. His parents had kicked him out, leaving him to find his own way.

He wasn't excited to return to Gravity Falls, as he had been in his youth. He used to love his time in the small, supernatural city, but now it was just a painful memory of the disappearance of his twin sister, Mabel Pines.

It had been in December of what was supposed to be, their Senior Winter Break. One day she had just disappeared into the woods. Dipper had completely abandoned everything to look for her, but came up empty-handed, and was forced to head back to Piedmont, where his parents blamed him, before kicking him out.

He had asked his Grunkle Stan and Great Uncle Ford if he was allowed to stay with them to finish his senior year of high school at Gravity Falls High School, which his Two Great Uncles, of course, accepted him as if he was their own. Or more so, Great Uncle Ford seeing him as a sort of apprentice and Grunkle Stan seeing him as another, more intelligent Soos. But regardless, they let him into their tourist trap home.

Dipper was currently staring at his closet, which was full of old clothes, new clothes, and hand-me-downs. He was unsure of what to wear for his first day.

He had already settled on a pair of dark grey jeans and a dark blue hoodie, but he wasn't sure what shirt to wear. He eventually pulled out a red shirt and threw it on. Once dressed, he checked his reflection in the mirror, running a comb through his brown fluffy hair, doing his best to cover his birthmark. He doubted he would get picked on like he used to, but yet, he pushed his blue as white pine tree hat into his bag, in case he felt like he needed something to help him hide the birthmark that had given him so much trouble in the past.

He then put in the black studs he had in his ears. Mabel had convinced him to pierce his ears back in their Sophmore year, Dipper had decided to not let the holes close up, as he thought they didn't look half bad.

Once he was satisfied with his appearance he grabbed his bag and headed downstairs to the kitchen.

Stan was making his famous Stancakes, like most mornings, as Ford was sitting at the table, reading the newspaper.

"Anything good?" Dipper asked Ford as he sat down at the table. The two of them, of course, knew he was actually asking; Any news about Mabel?

Ford shook his head.

"Well, unless you count another rabid squirrel in the grocery store as good." Ford shrugged, putting the newspaper away.

"Excited for your first day?" Ford asked. Dipper shrugged.

"I mean, Wendy sent me a list of do's and don'ts for this school last night. But it's still just high school, I've faced plenty of other crazy things." Dipper said.

"You know, I heard some rich kids just transferred to the school as well, I guess you won't be the only new kid this year," Ford said.

"Rich kids? Great, that's just what Gravity Falls needs. Another Northwest Family." Dipper said sarcastically.

"Actually, now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure they're related to the Northwest's." Ford pointed out. Dipper groaned.

"Of course they are. Just another group of kids that won't like me." Dipper said.
