The next morning Dipper got up early, hoping that if he left early he wouldn't have to push himself too hard on the bike ride to school.

He rolled out of bed and went to his closet to pick out his outfit for the day. Dipper eventually settled on a pair of black skinny jeans, a dark gray t shirt with a picture of an alien on it, his navy blue hoodie, and his pine tree hat.

He checked his reflection in the mirror, taking off his hat to run a comb through his hair so that it covered his birthmark.

Once Dipper was satisfied with his appearance he grabbed my bag out of his room, slipping the first journal he could find off my desk into his bag before heading downstairs to grab food.

Stan was setting up the shop when Dipper came down the stairs. Soos in the shop with him, helping him.

Ford wasn't in the kitchen so Dipper assumed he was either asleep or in his lab. Dipper grabbed a bagel and ate it as he walked outside to the bike Soos had given him.

The bike was a simple mountain bike. It was dark red with black decorative lines on it. Soos installed a basket on the front but Dipper didn't use it.

He got on his bike and went to school.

When Dipper got to school he left his bike in the bike cage, chaining it to one of the poles so no one could steal it.

Dipper walked into school slowly, hoping Gideon wasn't going to notice he wasn't on the bus, but, as luck would have it, it seemed Gideon did notice his absence and wasn't pleased with it.

As Dipper was opening his locker he heard "Hey! Star Boy!" From behind him. He closed his eyes tightly and prayed to every god he could think of, hoping that it was just his imagination.

He felt a hand roughly grab his shoulder and shove him against the locker. Dipper's face smacked against the cold metal, Gideon kept pressure on Dipper so that he was stuck like that. All of Dipper's books and other school supplies fell to the ground.

"Why weren't you on the bus Star Boy?" Gideon asked.

"I...I don't take the bus anymore." Dipper managed.

"I guess someone has finally learned that a stupid runt like you doesn't deserve to ride the same bus as me." Gideon said.

"Please let me go Gideon." Dipper said.

"Oh, you want me to let you go?" Gideon asked.

'Yeah I just said that idiot.' Dipper thought, but he held his tongue.

Gideon pushed Dipper into the locker again, making Dipper hit his head again, knocking his hat off his head.

It looked like Gideon was going to do more but the bell rang.

"Your not worth being late for class, consider yourself lucky this time Star Boy." Gideon said before roughly pushing Dipper and walking away, not before kicking Dipper's Pine Tree hat down the surprisingly empty hall.

Dipper scrambled to grab his stuff, everything was so spread out that he wasn't sure he could get anything before the late bell rung.

He, of course, was right. The late bell rung as he was picking up all the loose papers he had in one of his folders. He still hasn't gotten a chance to grab his pencils, notebooks, or his hat.

"Whatever, if I'm late, I'm late. It's not like Stan or Ford will care if I'm late to a class anyway." Dipper muttered.

"You talking to yourself now Pines?" A voice said from down the hall. For a minute, Dipper feared it was Gideon coming back to finish him off, but when Dipper looked up he saw not Gideon but Bill walking down the hall. Bill was wearing another yellow hoodie, slightly different than the one he was wearing yesterday. He also wore black skinny jeans and yellow converse again.
