Monday, 6:30amThe sun rose and the skies became much clearer. Killua awoke. He rubbed his tired eyes and slowly climbed out of bed. He made his way across the bedroom to his bathroom. Today was the beginning of school for the week and it was not something he was looking forward to...
He slowly brushed his teeth and thought for a second. 'I'm pretty sure something was supposed to happen today...', he thought as he finished brushing his teeth. He went back to his bedroom to get dressed for school. He changed into his usual attire, which consisted of a navy blue turtleneck and black jeans that came to his waist.
He headed for the kitchen for a quick snack he could chew while on his way to the bus stop. He searched the pantry, now filled with more food, and found a simple breakfast bar. He grabbed two and went to grab his back-pack.
"Killua? Where are you going?".
Killua turned around to see his tired sister, Alluka approaching him. She had grown quite a lot over the past few years. And Killua was happy that she was happy and free.
"I'm heading off for school", he said grabbing his bag. A small frown appeared on Alluka's face.
"We aren't hanging out today?", she asked in a disappointed tone. Killua felt the heart in chest stop. He felt bad for not mentioning that he had school days that week and wouldn't be able to hang out with Alluka.
"No, sorry. We can't, I have school this week. Maybe on the weekend, okay?". Killua gave his sister a simple warm hug before heading for the door.
He looked back to see her waving solemnly. Killua gave her a warm smile and waved back before closing the door behind him.
'Man, I need to start hanging out with Alluka again...', he thought, making his way to the sidewalk.
.....
The bus pulled up with a loud roar. 'Here we go. Another annoying day at this school', Killua thought before he heard...
"Killua!".
He turned to the sound of his name to find a tan boy with dark spiky hair running towards him. That was what he had to do today.
Killua tried not to let a groan escape from his lips. It was bad enough that he had to sit on a bus with these people, and now it was even worse as long a popular kid like Gon would be sitting with him.
"Hey!", the tan boy greeted, his smile filled with excitement.
Killua tried to give him a welcoming grin. "Hi...", he said awkwardly. Killua then turned his attention to the bus. "We should probably get on before the bus driver drives off again...", Killua said in a casual tone.
Gon nodded full on agreeing with what the boy was saying. The two boys boarded the bus. They were greeted with loud talking, yelling, and the usual passing around of random things that weren't even visible in the mess of a bus.
"Yo, Gon!".
"Hi, Gon!".
"Hey, Gon! You should sit over here!".
Suddenly Killua heard all these greetings and voices call out to the boy that boarded the bus with him. 'This is why I didn't want to sit with him...', Killua thought to himself in annoyance. Everyone on this bus seemed to know who Gon was and that would draw way more attention to the two than Killua wanted. He watched as Gon waved at the kids that greeted him as if it was an everyday thing.
"You can go sit with them if you want...", Killua said lowly hanging his head. He really wished that this kid would accept his offer, but one bit of him wanted him to sit with him anyway.
