~Derek's day with Chance~

Malia P.O.V

I was going to school for the first time after 2 weeks of staying home with Chance. I wasn't behind on any work because Stiles would bring everything I needed and worked on it with me, so I wasn't really worried about that . I still cannot believe I how great my life is now. Just a year ago I was by myself in a lonley den and now my life is better. I have a great boyfriend / fiancé, friends, family and a beautiful healthy baby. 

I didn't know what to do. I had no one to watch Chance. As I was getting dressed and Stiles was changing Chance's diaper, I get an idea.

" Do you think Derek would be okay with watching Chance for the day?"

" I don't know, what if your dad shows up?" Asks Stiles

"Let's ask him first, before we think about Peter"

I dial Derek's number

(On the phone )

"Hello? "

"Hey cuz, do you think you could watch Chance for a couple of hours just until school ends?"

"I don't know, I don't know anything about taking care of a baby."

"Oh please... for your niece? " I ask.

"Brayden is here so I guess she can help me. Fine but just until school ends."

"Thanks. You're a lifesaver. One question, is Peter going to be there at all?"

" No, he has a condo downtown. If he shows up I'll keep him away from the baby. "

"Okay, we'll be there in 10 minutes"

I hang up.

"Good news, Derek agreed to watch her." I said in relief.

"That's great. What about Peter? "

"We won't have to worry about him. Derek said he lives in downtown. And if he were to show up,  he'll keep him away from the baby"

"Okay then. We should get going"

Derek P.O.V

I get up and put on some clothes. I get a call from Malia asking me to watch Chance.

" What's wrong ?" Asks Bryden barley waking up.

Nothing, but you have to get dressed, I'm gonna need your help." I reply kissing her on the cheek.

"Help with what? " She asks while putting on her pants and top.

"I agreed to watch my niece today and I don't know the first thing about taking care of a baby....Will you help me? "

"Sure...to be honest, I love kids" she replies happily.

Stiles and Malia show up with the baby.

"Thanks for agreeing  watching her, it means a lot" says Stiles.

"No problem, just don't take too long." I reply.

Malia talks to Chance in a baby voice.

"Okay baby you're gonna stay here with your uncle Derek today . Mommy and Daddy will pick you up later. I wuv you"

"Bye baby, I love you too."adds Stiles.

"What if she gets hungry? " I ask.

"There is some baby formula in her diaper bag just mix it in some warm water."

"Be sure to burp her right after you feed her." Adds Stiles.

"Okay, get to school."

"Take care of our baby" said Stiles and Malia at the same time while holding hands and walking out the door.
