The wedding reception was happening tomorrow. You were excited, you had everything planned out.
What you were planning on wearing happened to be a black velvet dress that ended below your knees. A ribbon sat in the middle on your chest as the long sleeves were made of lace.
You planned out your shoes, your matching purse, and the lucky man you were going to dance with.
You also planned out how Avilio will be snooping around the Vanettis.
Sitting on your bed with a grin on your face, you closed the book in your hand when you hear someone knocking downstairs.
Your housekeeper, who is a healthy old man for his age, greets that someone into the apartment.
Knowing you were on the top floor, you knew you had time to place a few loose items away. You can hear him climbing up the few flights of stairs.
"The young lady is in the room at the end of the hallway," Your housekeeper exclaimed.
"Thanks..." A reluctant voice replied.
"Don't make too much noise up there,"
"What?" The man raised his voice with embarrassment.
"I meant, don't make too much of a mess up there." The housekeeper corrects himself before walking back downstairs.
You opened the door and see Avilio by the stairs at the end of the hallway. He makes his way towards you with his face a little pink from embarrassment.
He turns away so you won't see his face, "Good morning..." Avilio mumbles.
"I'm glad you're early," You returned the greeting. "Come in, I'll explain everything."
Avilio is back to his stoic and cold nature as he steps inside your room. He takes a look around before turning to you.
"If you have so much money, how come you live in the apartment above the pharmacy?" Avilio asked.
"This is my second house."
"Oh."
"Yeah, it's not much..." You sighed happily. "But, I feel cozier when my room is small."
Avilio looks outside the window, "Okay, all things aside,"
You nodded your head, "Let's talk business."
"Let's talk about my money." Avilio sticks his hand out.
You smiled smugly and grabbed onto his hand, "Alright, I'll lay out the rules."
Avilio doesn't pull away from you and looks down, "What do you mean?"
"Sit down, I'll explain." You made him sit on the end of your bed as you pulled out a wooden chair from your desk.
Avilio shifts uncomfortably, not wanting to ruin your made blanket on your bed.
"I'll pay you the first twenty-five hundred today," You said. "I want you to snoop around the mansion, walk around rooms, and talk to whoever..."
"I see..."
"But do not get caught, understand?" Your eyes were wide.
Avilio nods his head in agreement, "And I'm guessing after I kill him, I'll receive the other half of the payment?"
"What a smart boy," You cheered with fake excitement. "However, are you sure you're up for this?"
"Let's say the Vanetti's ruined my family's life too." He mutters. "I want him dead as much as you do."
