Forgotten Pasts
"Aching 'cuz I was faking."
"Have you done it?"
"I have. She's warned and aware of her fate."
"Good. Both of you should sleep now. Should you continue using it tomorrow."
She walked away leaving the boy behind. He walked in the silent hallway with the floor creaking along the way, he took a turn around the corner to find his best friend eavesdropping on the recent conversation.
"That was fast, I hope you didn't traumatize her instead of warning her."
"It's not that I traumatized her, I scared her," he claimed walking away with the other boy trailing behind him.
"Ray, I just hope that what you did wouldn't do any harm for her the next day."
"Don't worry, she would just brush it off and we'd be done for this week's mission."

Ray didn't choose this as an option but what's ironic is that there is no option. His ability to remember things for his whole life was found out by Isabella and eventually, he was used as an advantage to Isabella herself. He couldn't avoid this since, in return, it would be the lives of the kids in Grace Field as well as his shipment. It's shocking, to say the least, that he gave away his life in order to protect his siblings but due to a change of rules, also calling it as betrayal, the kids' lives would be taken nonetheless. All of these years, he's serving under Isabella and them.
It has been 7 hours from the night that the conversation was held, it was quite surprising for Ray that morning had finally come, though, at the same time, he is sleep deprived. Today would only mean their mission to be continued until the last day.
It was another normal day for the kids, but for this emo kid, it's another day for hell. He carried laundry around the hallways greeting his siblings with a smile. The kids ran buzzing around preparing their meal for the morning as the others woke up their heavily sleeping siblings mostly Emma takes up this part.
"Morning Ray!"
"Good morning Ray!"
"Morning guys!"
Such happy faces. It's sad to think they'll disappear for a moment.
He gave off a small smile greeting them as well as he headed towards the laundry room only to bump into Norman stacking a neat pile of clothes. They stared at each other for a moment and continued doing what they're supposed to be doing.
"I'm surprised that you're on laundry duty today, shouldn't you be talking to Mom about our next mission?" Norman said calmly not letting his sight out of the clothes.
"Why are you so determined about this? I could care less about our next mission."
"So you didn't care about 42094? Right after Conny?"
"You know I do," he glared. "I care about everyone here, the ones that died too. You do too. Why do you want to know about the next mission anyway?" spat Ray putting the laundries in a basin.
