Where Are You Now?

"Faking got me taking."

-

"I'll talk to Mama about an update of our mission. Ray, please be careful with her this time."

"And why is that?"

"She was scared, okay? You're warning her not 'plot-twisting' the whole thing."

"That's what we've been doing, 'plot-twisting' everyone's life and why does she have things to be so careful? We've done this with others and in the end, they felt the same thing as she did- scared."

"You plot-twisted hers because you added a show in her dream- a garden, a dance, you're hitting on her already, lover boy."

"I'm not! I did the same thing with Conny! Don't me."

-

Ray woke up sighing in desperation as he looked over to the sleeping girl right beside her clutching on a ukulele. He looked over to the slumbering girl that's going to wake up in any moment now, he felt utterly great sympathy towards his sibling. He let his head lean back as he closed his eyes looking for tranquility in this wretched world.

Psh. Hitting on her- Then what's with you and Emma, huh Norman? You-

He then bolted when he felt a sudden movement beside him. He gazed up to see the girl freeze in her movements looking to nowhere. This made him worry if he had done too much on the girl.

"42094? You okay?" he questioned hoping she would tell her something but to his dismay, she did not.

This triggered his anger but he still kept a poker face. It seemed petty for him to be mad about this but only because of something he hated but liked towards her. She was reserved.

Like what was stated, she was reticent of her feelings. She needed a good amount of convincing in order for her to spill the beans. He took interest of this since he's got his nose on a book all the time so being quiet was something he needed for a friend but of course, he's a loyal guy, he needed to know at least something about the person he's with and this annoyed him as well.

"What's wrong? You were just smiling until you fell asleep and then you're starting to act like this," he asked gripping the ukulele that he snatched from the ground.

"I'm fine. I just had a dream that's all,"

With this statement, she tried taking back the ukulele but was Ray so mad that he pulled her close with his eyes begging. He was caught off guard to catch a glimpse of her glare and suddenly, he didn't want the ukulele or her to be let go of.

"Tell me what's wrong," he pleaded with his eyebrows knitted.

"I just told you-"

"You didn't!-" he cut her off.

He spewed words like poison. At this moment, he felt like he's exploding in every way, releasing the anger that he kept within their friendship, his hearing had suddenly died down with only his voice being heard in his ears. He wanted her to know, to know that not only he needs comfort but also she needed it as well. She's being reserved to the brink of her friendship dying down, which is what he needed to save. He wanted to know what she's thinking too, he wanted to know how she feels, what she wants, what she needs.
