Long Gone

Chapter III

Elodie made me read the tale of the three brothers. And a bunch of other stories about the deathly hallows. It was actually very interesting. However, I didn't stay long, and actually, when she tried to explain me something about my dreams I interrupted her and left because I needed to plan my and Cecil's little trip to Filch's office. So here I am, sitting in an embrasure with Cecil.

Some first-year ravenclaw walks past us looking up at us. We are, after all, six years older than her and she's already scared of us. As I might have mentioned, Cecil is very mean, so she shouts on her face "what are you looking at?" She's too scared to answer, she just drops the books she's carrying and runs away. Cecil has a smirk on her face. She's mean even with slytherin standards. I ignore her.

"So. It's not like we're the first students to break into mr. Filch's office. He's actually getting used to it" Cecil says looking out of the window. I see it's getting dark out there.

"You're right. It's easy, we only need to distract mr Filch for a little while so he'll leave he's office. Then we just take what we want and leave" I say. "I already know how to distract him. Tho it's not going to work for long" I wonder.

"We need more time than a little while" Cecil says quietly. "I'm not going there to steal just something, but like something something. Something special." I look at her.

"That's a lot of something. What is it that you're looking for?" I ask. She sighs.

"Remember that I told you about the Maradeurs map? It's in Filch's office. And I want it."

We asked Ben to go 'sleepwalking' in the corridors, and he said yes of course.

As we hear Mr Filch screaming "Student out of bed!" I and Cecil sneak into his office.

"Alohomora" I whisper pointing my wand at the lock. It opens, just like that. Once we're inside she says "Accio Maradeurs map" and one of Filch's lockers clatters a little. I try the unlocking charm on it but it doesn't work. I turn to Cecil.

"What do we do now? It's inside, but I can't open it."

Cecil simply takes a knife on Filch's table (why does he have a knife on his table?!) and starches the locker open. There it is, the Maradeurs map, inside the locker. Cecil takes it. There are several other things too, and I grab some of them. I can hear Filch's steps in the hallway. Oh shit.

I accidentally press a button on one of the weird things I took and everything around me stops. I can still move normally. Wow. This is cool. I take Cecil with me and go out of the office. She can't move, and God, she's heavy. I see Filch in the hallway. Luckily he was just blinking when i stopped the time. I close the door behind me and start walking away. I accidentally drop some silver ball and turn around to pick it up. And then the time starts running normally. Fuck.

Cecil starts screaming on my arms. I let her go and she falls to the ground. Mr Filch looks up and notices us. Mrs Norris comes from somewhere and jumps into Filch's arms. Filch smirks making me feel goosebumps.

"Were you going to my office ha?" he says but neither of us is able to answer. Mr Filch takes a deep breath, he's ready to scream "Students out of bed!" and while he's not paying attention to us I grab the silver ball and start running away with Cecil.
