We talked half the night. We got to know each other, we planned, we joked.

Now it's morning and time to wake up. I'm so tired, but also excited. I'm surprised I didn't have any nightmares last night, like I usually do. I get up and wear robes. Jeremiah is waiting for me when I go out of the girl's dormitory.

"Morning" he yawns.

"Morning."

We wait until Elodie comes out then go to eat breakfast. We're the last ones there.

Our first lesson is defense against the dark arts. Professor O'Connell is late as always, and he rushes in like someone was after him. He is really weird.

He moves like an old person but he's only maybe 40 years old. His breath smells terrible and hands shake  constantly. But his eyes are the worst. They're so light, almost white, and when he looks at you, he seems to know your every darkest secret.

Oh, and he's also a racist. He hates mudbloods. Even most of the slytherins don't hate them anymore. But he does, so if his lessons are terrible for everyone else, they're hell for mudbloods. Sad but true.

Today we're having the lesson with gryffindor. Because Jeremiah is one year older than me, he hasn't the same lesson, but Elodie has. We stare at the clock for half an hour, and when the time is right, I stand up.

"Excuse me, professor, can I go to the ladies' room?"

He looks at me like i was something very disgusting, like a rotten pumpkin.

"What for?"

"W-what?" I stutter. "Why do people usually go to lavatory??"

O'Connell laughs coldly.

"Just go" he says.

I go.
But not to the lavatory of course.

I wait for Jeremiah. There he comes.

"Alright, we got to be quick" I say. He simply nods.

We reach O'Connell's office. I point my wand at the lock and say: "Alohomora" Surprisingly the lock opens.

We go in and try to find the pieces or even something with spells. We don't find anything suspicious.

"Miah! We've been here for fifteen minutes! We got to go!"

He checks his watch.

"You're right. We'll talk again on lunch"

We rush back to our classes.

"Kind of long trip to the lavatory" O'Connel says.

"Yeah, I'm sorry, professor. I just don't feel so good." I say trying to avoid his eyes.

"So did you have a good time in the lavatory?" he smirks really weirdly.

"What? Seriously, you're being disgusting! Just stop that, please!"

His smirk fades away and leaves his face without feelings.

"Go take your seat" he says without a single emotion in his voice. "And five points from Slytherin for your disrespectful behavior."
