Long Gone

Chapter V

It's getting dark. Everybody notices it. Everybody is scared because it feels like all the happiness is suddenly gone. It feels cold and lonely, and everyone feels the darkness in their hearts stronger than ever. It feels like a thousand demetors were surrounding us, but actually there is none.

The green light still burns my eyes as I lie on the hospital bed. Little by little it fades away and leaves me alone with darkness. I'm weak, and it's terrible. And I'm as scared as everyone else.

We all know that something bad is going to happen. But it can't be Voldemort. He's gone.

The school is quiet. All I hear is my own heart beating. I see the moonlight pushing itself through the windows.

Then I hear footsteps from the hallway. I notice McGonagall, who is nowadays the head master of Hogwarts, and she walks with madam Humphrey.

"What do you think happened today?" McGonagall asks. They walk toward me and I pretend to be sleeping.

"It seemed like she was having a very strong vision. Weird tho, I didn't know she was sensitive for visions" madam Humphrey whispers quietly. McGonagall nods.

"She's not the only one who had visions today. One of my old friends sent me an owl and told that she had a vision that a new dark wizard is rising" McGonagall says so quietly that I can barely hear her. They're walking away from me now.

"Rather odd don't you think" Humphrey says and then they're too far and I can't hear them anymore. I try to sleep and eventually succeed. But maybe sleeping wasn't so good idea.

Right when I fall asleep I can feel old times' pain and suffering and it's almost too much for me. I see moments of other people's lives, important moments I guess.

There is a house, I can hear a baby crying there. Some man with a dark cloak goes in. Suddenly I'm next to him and see what he's doing. The killing curse, the familiar green light. Then he's gone and he had killed a man and a woman, but he couldn't kill the baby. He only left the baby with a lightning scar. There comes Severus Snape, crying, suffering, he sees the woman and holds her in his arms. He seems so sad, too sad, I can't take it anymore. Like a wind something pulls me out of the house and brings me to a bridge. I see Hogwarts background.

The bridge is partly broken, I see everywhere dust and blood. This is clearly after the battle of Hogwarts. I see Harry Potter standing on the edge of the bridge, looking down. Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are standing behind him. Harry Potter is holding a wand stronger than any other wand in existence. It's the Elder wand.

"What should we do with it?" Ron Weasley asks. Hermione looks at him.

"We?"

"Just saying, it's the Elder wand! Most powerful wand in the world. With that... He'd be invincible."

Harry Potter seems to think that. Then he breaks the wand and throws the pieces to the gulch under them. My sight follows the pieces down, and I see them hitting the ground down under.

The color of the sunlight changes, as if the season had changed very quickly. I see someone grab the pieces and then I teleport to Hogwarts, and I see  the same person in the dungeons just walking. I notice it's our defense against the dark arts teacher, professor O'Connell. I want to know what he's doing with the pieces of the Elder wand, but the dream ends and throws me back to the hospital wing. I stare at the ceiling.

Jeremiah rushes in. He's one of my three best friends. The others are Cecil and Elodie. Jeremiah is one year older than me, so he's on his last year now. He's a slytherin. Jeremiah has been quite depressed since his boyfriend left Hogwarts last year.

"Y/N! You're awake!"

He runs into my arms and hugs me.

"What happened?" he worries pushing me gently away.

"I had a vision" i tell him. "I've been having a lot of visions lately, but not when I'm awake."

"What kind of visions?"

I tell him. He looks kind of worried.

"Have you told anyone?" Jeremiah asks.

"No one, except Elodie" I answer. "Why? Should I keep it as a secret?"

Jeremiah looks different now, he looks like he has a plan or something.

"Miah? What are you up to?"

Jeremiah smirks.

"Not good, that I can swear."
