Dr. Reid X Reader

Walking into the conference room for the briefing you took your seat next to Emily. " So what's got you so mad this afternoon?" Emily asked as she looked over the case file. Huffing you just shook your head and said: " Reid's just being annoying." Nodding she waited for everyone to walk in. Penelope walked in and presented the case. Everyone talked about the case and Emily stated " Wheels up in 35," getting up you made your way to the break room and made a coffee to go. As you were leaving the break room you bumped into Dr. Spencer Reid. " Geez watch where you're going," you muttered as you walked away from him. " you walked into me," Reid said as he made his way to the break room.  Grabbing your go bag you headed for the elevator. " Hold the elevator for me please?" Reid called as he hurriedly grabbed his bag and ran to the elevator.  " Thanks." He said as he stepped in and hit the button for the garage. " Welcome Dr. Reid," you mumbled as you looked down at your watch. Getting in the car with Rossi and Reid you made your way to the jet.

On the jet, you all went over the case. " When we land I want Rossi, Morgan, and JJ to go talk to the sheriff's office while Reid and Y/ln go to the last crime scene," Emily said as she pulled out her phone to call the detective. Groaning you rolled your eyes and went back to your notes. " Why him?" you mumbled as you glanced at the crime photos. When the jet landed you all split up. Getting into the driver's side of the SUV Reid got in the passenger's side. " Why do you hate me so much?" you asked as you drove to the crime scene. Dr. Reid seemed to be lost in thought as he looked at the case file. " I don't hate you, you were the one to start this little feud," he stated as you pulled into the parking lot of the apartment complex. " How did I start a feud?" you asked as you flashed your badge to the cops on the scene. Looking at the body you took in the bruised wrist and swollen eyes. " I think the unsub ditched the victim here as a warning to someone," you commented as you slipped on a glove and knelt down beside the body.  " What makes you think that?" Reid asked as he knelt down beside you. Rolling your eyes you lifted the victim's hand. Dr. Reid bent down to pick up a note. " The note says - Let her sins be known by everyone who notices her.- " He spoke as he stood back up. Thinking you made your way to where the blood was splattered you noticed a silver case. Picking it up you noticed it was a small compact mirror. Showing it to Reid you pulled out your phone to call Penelope. " Speak and be heard, mortal." She said as she typed on her computer. " Hey Garcia can you search for a quote for me?" you asked as you and Reid got back in the car. Handing the phone to Dr. Reid you drove back to the station. " Ok what's the quote?" she asked as she waited for a response. " hey it's Spencer the quote is let her sins be noticed by everyone who notices her," he said as looked over to you as you drove. Pulling into the station Garcia hung up with the promise of getting back to you both soon. Walking into the station you made your way to the conference room where the rest of the team sat discussing new leads and clues. " So did you guys find anything at the crime scene?" Morgan asked as you sat next to him. " yeah we found a note with a quote, Garcia is checking it out," you stated as you glanced at the board. Spencer spoke updrawing your attention from the whiteboard. " We found a small compact a few feet away from the body, I think our unsub is targeting women who are vain," Looking at the file in your hand you took a second to look at the features. " I think we are looking for a woman who has a hard time accepting her appearance," you blurted out as you stood up making your way to the board. " What makes you think it's a woman unsub?" Emily asked as she stood next to you. " Look at the way the body is placed and the cuts around the face and abdomen," you stated. Everyone whispered behind you as they took in what you said. " I think we need to deliver the profile now," Emily said as you turned around locking eyes with Reid.

After delivering the profile Garcia called to update you. " What's up Pen?" you asked as you sat down with some coffee. " I looked into the quote Spencer gave me and I found a fanatic fan who sent the author multiple letters about women degrading themselves." She said as she typed away on her keyboard. " Do you have a name and address for her?" Reid asked as he stood next to where you were sitting. " Hey Dr. Genius, yes I am sending it to you now," she said as she ended the call. Your phone sounded with the info as you stood up. " Hey I wanted to ask you about earlier but it can wait," you mumbled before putting on your vest and making your way over to where the rest of the team stood. " We got her," you said as you, Reid and Morgan got into the car. Morgan drove as you looked out the window. The unsub stood in her front yard with a knife to her latest victim. Getting out quickly you held up your gun. " Carter this is Y/ln I am with the FBI and I need you to drop the knife," you said as Morgan and Reid stood behind you. " Don't come any closer or she dies," carted yelled as she gripped the knife closer to the victim's throat. " I know how you feel, I hate the way I look too, " you said as you stepped closer. " No, you don't you have people who love you. I am a freak," Carter yelled as she stepped back. Holding your hand up you holstered your gun and spoke again " I do think I am ugly, the person I love just acts like I am a bother," you stepped closer. She relaxed her hold on the girl in front of you and dropped the knife. Morgan grabbed the victim and took her to safety. Reid came up behind you and handcuffed her. " I am so sorry," she mumbled as she slumped forward.

On the jet back home you sat by the window looking at the night sky. JJ sat down next to you and said: " I heard about what you told Carter, you know your smart and pretty right?" nodding you wiped away a stray tear. " The one person I like makes me feel like I am repulsive." you cried into her shoulder for a moment before pulling away. She patted your shoulder before saying: " I know he is just stubborn but he likes you." looking at her you frowned and turned to look out the window. Sitting in silence you thought about Spencer and how he has acted toward you. A hand touching your shoulder brought you from your thoughts. " Can I talk to you?" Reid asked as he sat down. Nodding you turned to face him and you let out a sigh. " Have you been upset with me because you like me and you think I make you feel ugly?" he asked as he looked into your eyes. Glancing down you tried to hide the tears. A soft hand cupped your cheek bringing your face up to look into his amber eyes. " I am so sorry I caused you so much pain because I was so scared of doing this.' he said before leaning down crashing his lips with yours. Shocked you took a sec before kissing back. Pulling back you searched his eyes for doubt. You were met with love and pure happiness. " I like you a lot and I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner. " he whispered as you both sat back. Nodding you kissed his cheek and stared out the window resting your head on his shoulder.
