Warnings: quite fluffy I think? Might cuteness overload? Maybe a lil bit cliché? Idk. Also mild bad language. Like damn and stuff.

(Tom Holland Spider-Man)

You and Peter are on a trip together, as a pretend couple, and your room only has one bed.

          ☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆

As a friendly neighbour superhero in your own local area, being supervised by S.H.I.E.L.D. and Tony Stark, it was only logical for them to partner you up with the only other own they had - Spider-Man - for a mission, that apparently would require both of your skill sets.

Of course, you knew all about Spider-Man - didn't literally everyone? He was always on the news, at awards shows, accepting trophies and appearing at events. That was definitely not your style.

While you both kept your saving on a smaller scale than heroes like the Avengers, he was a lot more mainstream than you. You kept to the shadows, using your status as an unknown force to keep you relatively unnoticed to the public and still able to do your job.

That was until you were called onto this damn mission with no choice but to say yes, because what else could you do? You can't politely decline S.H.I.E.L.D., you just end up being dragged into it anyway.

So here you are now. Sitting in a hotel room. Waiting for S.H.I.E.L.D. to tell you what the hell you are supposed to be doing. With Spider-Man.

Of course, you've got a cover story - from S.H.I.E.L.D., of course, because you can't be trusted to make up your own apparently - so he's obviously not walking around with his mask on. You guys are supposed to be pretending to be a couple and you don't even know his name.

He's younger than you were expecting though. He looks maybe the same age as you, maybe even a year or two younger, with his hair all tousled and his Star Wars t-shirt on. He's biting his nails as he paces. The computer on the desk is apparently where the instructions from S.H.I.E.L.D will be sent to. You're sitting on the chair in front of it, your knees up to your chest, as Spider-Man paces behind you.

Finally, a message pops up. It's coded, of course, just in case the order fell into the wrong hands but you and him quickly decode it.

All clear for tonight.

Get some rest, we'll be back in touch tomorrow, 10am sharp.

Meet us then, in front of the hotel.

- Agents Fury and Hill

As you flop back in the chair, he reads it over your shoulder. There's something in his eyes as he scans over it again and then glances around the hotel room.
"Do you think they were joking when they wrote that? Because they obviously booked this room for us?" He says, his brow furrowed and his nail biting worsening.

"What do you mean?" You have no clue what he's talking about.
"Y'know..." He doesn't finish but he vaguely gestures to the bed up against the wall.

Then it dawns on you.

Just the one bed.

A double one.

For the two of you.

You curse as you stand up and join him in his pacing.
"They've got to be kidding, I've only met you once before! I don't even know your name, I'm not gonna sleep with you!"

"Peter." He says it quietly, so quietly you barely hear him.

"What?"
"My name. It's Peter. Peter Parker. You?"
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N."

"Well, Y/N we're supposed to be a happy couple so you wanna try and act like it?"
Normally that sort of phrasing would have really pissed you off but his time was kind and genuine so you just brushed it off.

"Of course I wanna do my mission but I know barely anything about you and I wouldn't know how to act like I'm in a relationship - "

Peter cuts you off by softly kissing you.
"Let's start with that. My aunt Nat taught me that people hate public displays of affection so we should use that to our advantage," he tells you as he pulls away quickly after a moment.

Once again, you knew that, usually, him, or anyone for that matter, kissing you out of nowhere would've ended with them being punched in the face or kicked in the groin, but, for some odd reason that you couldn't work out, right now, you had to suppress the urge to giggle.

The two of you talked for a while about your mission and that eventually led into the talk of personal lives.
A strange part of you felt weirdly delighted when Peter said he was single, but you brushed that off. You barely know him, you tell yourself.
You discuss the couple dynamics you will use tomorrow for the mission, as well.

You two end up kissing again. Part of your brain is screaming that you're moving too fast, but you kindly remind that part that this is for a mission not for in real life relationships. It retorts that no one is here for you to act like a couple for though before you can silence it.

Eventually you two both settle into the bed. You agree to sleep at opposite sides. He falls asleep way faster than you. The way Peter slept was very calmly, only occasionally shifting one way or the other. You swore as your brain became sleep drenched and fuzzy that his hand was linked with yours but that memory was awe of away by the tide of sleep...

When you woke up, he was spooning you. You had both ended up in the middle of the bed with his arms wrapped securely around your stomach. You felt strangely safe in his arms.

Maybe pretending to be a couple with Peter Parker wouldn't be so bad after all.

(A/N I've been awful at updating at all over the holidays, so my apologies for that. Secondly, I'm very confused about this whole Spider-Man Sony/Marvel thing and it has been very confusing, but I'm hoping Spidey will still be in the MCU because I love Tom Holland's Spider-Man. And I know I always say this, but hopefully I will finally find an updating schedule for this book and Stars, but thank you for being so patient with me. Love you guys X)
