Warnings: maybe if you're offended by the word ass, but I'm assuming if you're on Wattpad, you're probably not.

Note: of course, Clint obviously doesn't have a wife and kids or anything in this context so just saying.

As two high level SHIELD assassins with just a itsy-bitsy tiny little bit of a rivalry going on, it's only logical for Clint and Y/N to spar together.

。☆✼★━━━━━━━━━━━━★✼☆。

It was always a competition when both Y/N and Clint were around. Separate, they were fine - brilliant SHIELD agents, both with immense skill and talent in their own rights and as a team. But together - well, it was often safe to say as soon as they were both in one place not much was to be achieved if there was some way they could beat one another at one thing or another.

One way to get around this however was to just leave them alone to fight as much as they wanted in a sparring match, leaving them sufficiently happy about beating one another to actually be able to get on with stuff.

This had taken a while to figure out and even longer to convince Clint and Y/N to agree to - everyone else had to refuse to spar at all, with Clint and Y/N or otherwise, for a week to convince those two to just get out the pent up competitiveness in one little fighting session each time.

Of course, occasionally, the opposite effect occurred as a result of the sparring; an unresolved match would often lead to a rather disastrous series of one-upping one another for threshold mission. So every time, someone had to win for the other SHIELD agents to be happy and there had to be another spar to satisfy the loser of that match's pride.

Two matches in one day was not even unheard of - in fact, as the pair squared up to one another again, Y/N made some quips about Clint's performance in the previous fight that day, the one from before their mission. The one Clint had lost.

By the way he smirked with his teeth tightly gritted, Y/N could tell he meant business. This was gonna be a fun match, that much was clear.

While Clint was famous as "the Hawkeye", the bow and arrow guy, he was also pretty decent at hand to hand combat. Of course, Y/N had a tiny tactical advantage with that being your area of expertise and there being no weapons allowed, but it was still a pretty evenly matched fight, with the end result of the game often not being obvious at the beginning.

Only a few people with nothing better to do lazily watched the sparring match from the sidelines but even as the two assassins began to circle each other, no one was paying particular interest.

Clint, as always was the first to move - sometimes he caught Y/N off guard and it worked to his advantage - but like many times before you were prepared for it and had your counter move easily ready. You knocked him straight onto his ass but to claim this takedown as the end and wait for him to tap out would've been far too easy and if there was one thing Y/N loved it was a challenge.

He picked himself back up and stared into the eyes of a smirking Y/N. You were enjoying teasing him about the fact he was being beaten, Clint could tell that much.

As you began to circle each other again, he tried to strike again. Y/N sent a punch right back at him and as he lunged to retaliate with another blow, you carefully cartwheeled out of his reach, not hesitating to spin back around and kick him over by knocking his feet out from under him.

For a moment, you were convinced you had won again, but as you began to laugh, you were brought down to the floor by him. You landed, perhaps a little heavily, but still gracefully, next to him and just as he was about to pin you down, you just grabbed him by the collar and kissed him.

Of course, in his very suddenly shocked state, you quickly flipped the two of you over so you were sitting on his chest. You broke the kiss, your hands no longer on his collar but pinning his arms and upper body down, and leaned right next to his ear and whispered softly: "I win again."

All Clint could think of in that moment was that perhaps losing wasn't so bad after all as he let himself kiss Y/N again in response.
