Your P.O.V.

I ran

As fast as my feet could carry me. My heart thundering in my ears like a stormy untamed sky. My muscles burned, beds of sweat rolling down my temples and forehead

'Haru, don't worry I'll get to you!'

My thoughts raced right along with my heartbeat. More sweat rolling down my chin, my blood boiled right with the castle. 'Who do they think they are' I growled letting my nails dig into the skin of my palms

I skid to a stop when I enter the courtyard of the castle. The once nice trees are in flames, their ashes falling down delicately like snow

I look left and right in a panic to spot someone, anyone. I push through the main gates of the castle and run down the corridor "M'lord?!" My voice falls on deaph ears. I go to his headquarters and push slide the door open

Empty

I run to the main hall. The smoke clouds my lungs making them scream out in pain, but I keep running

The hall is quiet when I open the doors. There's a figure in the middle, I jog in and there lay both King and Queen. His head lie on her lap in between her hands. She was lying on her side eyes bore open like her mouth. The King had been killed and she mourned him when she too was killed

I run to the back garden. There a few officers wandering in the smoke "Asure any survivors!" I call out to them and they run at me "There she is" they say amongst themselves all running at me

The first to make it to me swung his sword "It's me (Y/n)! What are you doing?!" I dodge another strike and counter it with my spear

They're all swinging at me. My naive mind not wanting to believe they wanted to kill me. Kill or be killed it shall be then

I managed most but then the back of my head hurt, like I'd been struck

Everything faded

Voices called out to me, it was like they were under water or really far. I couldn't tell what they were saying. "(Y/n)!" My eyes shot open. Haru? Everything was still blurry and my head was pounding

My chest rose and dropped with every heave of air I took. I shook my head, it hurt but it got rid of the blurriness

I was completely restrained. Hands held down all my limbs but one pulled at my hair getting me to look up. Haru! He was all bruised and beat

"(Y/n)!" He called out my name and I could feel my skin crawl with anger

"Let. Him. Go."

He held a sword to his throat

"Let him go!"

"Thought you'd at least want to witness one of their passings" He chuckled darkly; slitting his throat; I screamed

My eyes shot open and I sat up, tears ran down my face. The scream caught in my throat, I was thankful it did or I would have woken up everyone. I whimpered and hugged myself, curling into a ball. My chest burned right along with my skin and it's like I could still smell the smoke

My breath caught in my throat several times and my heart roared; dancing a tune only my thoughts could keep up with. They both ran a mile a minute, my lungs working just as hard to keep me alive
