The bell rings for lunch. I head towards the library where James said to meet up. When I got there, there were students still giving me me faces and avoiding me. Even the ones that seem like they want to go in the library didn't bother going in because I'm simply next to the doors off to the side, which means I'm not blocking anyone's way in at all.

"Hey Grayson" James said with a smile as I turn to face him.

"Oh hey James" I said with a smile back.

"Do you want to go to the cafeteria and see what they have?" James asks.

"Oh yah sure" I said as I follow James to the cafeteria.

We made it to the cafeteria line. It didn't took long to wait. Today's menu is spaghetti meatballs and lasagna. James got the lasagna as I got the spaghetti meatball. After that we got out of the line, as we look around to find a place for us to sit.

"Oh I found one" James said.

I follow James though the food court of the cafeteria, as we pass by students chatting and bustling in tables. We finally made it to our spot on a white cafeteria table, all the way in the back of the cafeteria. We sat, realizing we're next to some trash bins.

"Well it's not much of a good spot heh.." James said.

"Don't worry about it" I assured. "We have seats anyway"

"Haha yeah" James said as he starts to eat his food and I start to eat mine.

I always like saving the meatball for last. I thought for a moment before speaking.

"So.." I grab James attention. "Uhh, why don't you have any friends anyway?" I bit my bottom lip.

"Oh uhh" James thought for a moment. "Well I get picked on a lot, but it's because I-I'm gay.."

"Oh.." I said, silence falling between us. "I don't have any friends either and I get picked on a lot too.."

James gasps. "You're gay too?"

"Huh? What? N-no, no" I rub the back of my neck with a nervous chuckle.

"Oh.." James said.

James clears his throat. "Okay then what do you get picked on for?"

"It's because I'm dyslexic, and so I was put in special classes. I was known as the only kid who reads like a first grader" I said. "And uhh my middle name also happens to be Bailey, so they would call me by that too"

"Oh my.." James said. "I'm sorry that happened to you. That really sucks"

"Its ok" I said. "I'm sorry for you too, but at least you have a chance at making friends here, everyone else just seems to keep a distance away from me"

"What do you mean?" James asks with an eyebrow raise. "I didn't do that to you"

"Oh no I don't mean you" I said.

"I mean people are avoiding me the moment I stepped foot in here, and every time someone takes a look at me, they either quickly look or walk away. They judge me before they could even know me, let alone know my name first.." I sigh in sadness as I press up one of my cheeks to rest my head.

I move and play around the meatball with a spork, not bothering to pick it up and eat it.

"Listen Grayson.." James leans in close to my face across the cafeteria table, and eyes around carefully for a short moment before speaking. "..I know why people are avoiding you"
