Puck-clamp!

"Crap!" I said, failing to land on my board after doing a flip.

I'm such an embarrassment. Summer is almost over and I still can't seem to pull off a simple flip!

I started skateboarding in the beginning of summer as just an extra hobby. I don't really go practice much due to work and so I've been trying to teach myself to skateboard about 2 or 3 times a week when I have time.

"This time, this time" I said.

Puck-clamp!

My eyes widen in surprise.

"Yes!" I said, successfully landing on my skateboard.

"Now, for that other trick.." I said, looking at a cement corner.

I've been wanting to attempt to jump off of it with my skateboard.

Before I did, I practiced the flip more and kept landing successfully. Then I made the choice to go on top of the cement and try to jump off of it. It was kinda too high, but I was confident enough to pull it off quick.

I go on top of the cement, positioning myself and start to skate forward off the cement. I flip the board and landed successfully.

Phew! I thought.

I attempted the second time, success!

"Yeah.." I said, feeling pretty proud of myself.

Puck-clamp Puck-Crack!

I go for a third time. But this time, something went wrong. I somehow lost my footing and the skateboard gone crooked. In which I somehow tripped, trying to stop myself from falling, using my arms to break for the incoming impact but only to break it instead.

"Aw crap!" I said in pain.

I think I broke my arm! I start hugging my right arm as the pain shoots up my entire body.

"Ow. Aw..." I said, slowly getting up and carrying my arm.

This sucks! I thought, slowly getting up and searching where I can find the nearest hospital around.

Time skips as I finally made it to the hospital. It didn't took me long to get called from the waiting room and so didn't the process of putting a cast on my arm. It all went by smoothly as I start walking my way back home with a broken arm and the skateboard on the other.

Man.. I thought. School is in 3 days and I'm going with a broken arm.

I enter through the front gate of my house and walk up to the entrance. I put my skateboard down to take the keys out. With a bit of effort with a single arm, I managed to turn the nob to unlock the door. Once I opened it, I found my mother just laying on the sofa, her attention fixated on the tv.

"Mom? What are you doing here?" I asked, thinking why she's up knowing her that she's supposed to be snoozing at this time.
