Joe's POV
It had been two weeks since I'd met Dianne, and today I was asking her to be my girlfriend.
Ever since we've met, we haven't been able to keep our hands off of each other. I'm constantly drawn to her. Like a moth to a flame. I can't believe she's mine. Well. Officially almost mine.
She is amazing in so many ways. I feel extremely lucky to have her.
Ever since our amazing night of passion two weeks ago (let's be honest. Every time we do it, it's always amazing.) her and Fee Fee have been stopping at mine every night. We're like a proper little family and I love it.
Yesterday Dianne came clean about Felicity's Dad. And I was fuming. How could anybody do that to anyone? Dianne especially, someone so incredibly gorgeous inside and outside. If I ever see him, I'll fucking make him pay.
She's an incredibly strong woman. She's a single parent, and moved half way across the world to keep her daughter safe. I admire her for that. I really, really do.
Dianne was cuddled into my chest, her heavy breathing could be heard. I smile, as I place a soft kiss on her forehead. I hear Felicity cry, so decide to let Dianne sleep a little longer, as I walk into Mya's room, where Felicity was staying.
"Hi gorgeous girl, whats the matter?" I pick her up and rub her back.
"Dada." Shit. No.
"Joe baba. Say Joe?" I encourage. It's not that I don't want to be her Dad, I just don't know if Di will think its too soon?
"Dada." She says again.
"Joe." She shakes her head.
"No. Dada." I sigh, giving in.
"Do you want some breakfast?" She nods her head, as I place her down on the floor, and get Mya out of her cot and bring them both downstairs.Once I'd fed them, I feel a pair of soft, petite arms around my back. Her hot breath tickling my neck.
"Hmmm. Good morning handsome." She whispers, nipping at my neck. I roll my head back in pleasure.
"Good morning, gorgeous. But Di you can't do that here, the kids are over there." I say.
"Sugar. Sorry. I can't help myself." She giggles.
"Later." I wink."My mum and Dad are desperate to meet you." Dianne beams. This made me slightly nervous to be honest.
"Really?" I ask, worry laced in my voice.
She places a hand on my shoulder, before speaking, "Joe you're fine. They'll love you just as much as-" She stops.
I smile. "Dianne?" I look at her. "I love you." I whisper. This was the first time I'd ever told someone I love them and meant it. I definitely meant it. I knew now. Dianne is the one. I never really loved you know who.
"Really?" I nod. "I love you, too." I beam.....
"So what is the plan for today?" Dianne asks. It was a Saturday, and neither Dianne or myself work on weekends due to the kids. It's our family time with them.
"I was thinking we could take the kids to the park?" Hoping she would agree to it, because this is my plan to ask her.
"Sure. Can we stop at Victoria's Secret first? I need a new bra, as someone broke mine." She giggles, I just wink.
"Fine we'll go there first, then head to the park, but I'll wait outside with the kids." She nods going to get ready."Joe just come in. I'm only going to be two minutes." Dianne says. I nod, as I step inside.
"Oh hi Lizzy." Dianne smiles at the girl behind the till, making my eyes go wideShit. No. This is not good. "Joe?" Fuck.
Dianne looks at me confused. "I, er, will be outside." I say rushing out."What the hell was that?" Dianne asks heading over to me. "Why were you so awkward and why did she say your name? Are you cheating on me?" She looks as though she's about to cry.
"Di. I'd never do that, I love you," I start. "Do you remember me telling you about Mya's Mum?" She nods. "Di that's her. Lizzy is Mya's Mum."
"Oh. My. God." Dianne says. "I'm so sorry I didn't know. I wouldn't have asked her for help in me finding underwear, two weeks ago if I'd of known." She says. Now this isn't awkward at all. My ex girlfriend helped pick out an outfit for my almost, current girlfriend.
"That's awkward." She giggles, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"Di are you jealous?" I smirk.
"Psshhh, noooo." She says, her cheeks turning red.
"Baby, you don't need to be jealous. She's got nothing on you. You are perfect. Alright? You're mine. Not her." I reassure.
"But she's gorgeous." Dianne sighs as she looks down. "And she's the mother to your beautiful girl."I lift her chin up, and look her in the eyes. "You are more gorgeous, okay? I didn't love her, not properly. You are my everything Di, and it scares the shit out of me, how quickly I've fallen. Di, baby, you are my future." I say, wiping a tear away. "Also, she is not a mother. She didn't even want her, Di. You're more of a Mum to her than she will ever be. Now, please, smile." I say, she giggles and smiles. I lace my fingers with hers as we make our way to the park.
....
The kids were playing in the sand pit. Now was my chance."Di?" She turns to face me. "I've known you two weeks, and it's been the best two weeks of my life. I've had more fun with you in these weeks than I have in years.
You are the girl of my dreams, and I want you in my future. Dianne Buswell, will you be my girlfriend?" She smiles, before kissing me.
"It's about time." She giggles.
"Is that a yes?" I ask, with a smile on my face.
"Yes Joe." She grins.
"I love you." I sigh happily.
"I love you, too." She grins resting her head on my shoulder.I'd finally found my dream girl and I'm not letting her go.
