Dianne's POV
It was a few weeks after Joe's birthday and my parent's were still in London. So, Zoe and Alfie invited us to Brighton for a few days, with Joe's Mum Tracey. I couldn't wait to spend time with both sets of families because I consider Joe's family mine. And Joe considers my family his.
I couldn't wait to marry him and be his wife, a lot of people may think I'm crazy for wanting to get engaged now, but I feel the time is right for both of us. We're not like normal couples, our relationship moved quickly. He asked me to move in with him six months after we got together. We've both adopted each others children, as a few days after Joe's birthday, he put my name on Mya's birth certificate as her Mum, and I signed an adoption form to officially become her Mum. So for me, I feel we have moved quite quickly, but it feels so right. My parents said the same thing, they love Joe, and can see how happy I am with him. I am, extremely, and I can't wait to be his wife.Packing the car full to the brim, we put the kids into their car seats, give them their snacks, and set off down to Sunny Brighton. Well hopefully sunny Brighton.
....
After a few hours, with a few stops with two restless children, we had finally arrived in Brighton at Zoe and Alfie's.
We were greeted by Zoe and Nala or Alan as Joe calls her. Zoe pulls me for a hug, baring in mind I'd only met her twice, she was like my sister."How are you both?" She asks, taking our bags inside. "And the kiddies?" She smiles.
"We're all good thanks, how are you Alfie and Nala?" I ask, sitting down the sofa.
"We're all good thanks." She smiles.
"Guys this is my parents Mark and Rina, Mum Dad, this is Joe's sister Zoe, and her boyfriend Alfie." I introduce.
"Hi lovely to meet you, Joe has mentioned some lovely things about you two." Zoe smiles.
"Lovely to meet you, too. Thank you for the invite." Mum says.
"Oh my pleasure, it's nice to have you here, in the UK." Zoe smiles.
"First time we've been actually. And we love it, what a lovely place Brighton is." Dad says, smiling.
"I'm glad you think so. So our plan of action when Mum arrives is to take the kids to the Brighton Zoo, then we can head for food, and maybe beach it on way back?" Zoe says.
"Yeah sounds like a great plan." Joe says, sitting next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Mum shouldn't be too much longer. The kids seem fine anyway playing with Nala." Zoe laughs. We look over to see Mya and Felicity playing nicely with Nala, who was gentle with them. "Maybe we should get a dog?" I look to Joe, with a hint in my eyes.
"Maybe? We can definitely think about it." Joe says.Just then the door goes, and Tracey comes into the living room.
"Hi my darlings." She says, smiling as she hugs everyone.
"Hi Mum. Mum, meet Dianne's parent's, Mark and Rina." Joe smiles, proudly.
They hug each other, getting to know each other. This made me smile, to see them all getting along. My Mum and Dad were asking questions as Joe's childhood. As Tracey embarrassed him.
Mum and Dad telling Tracey and Zoe stories about me.
They were chatting and laughing away, I loved seeing them get along so well.....
We decided to do the Zoo tomorrow, as it was getting later on in the day. So, we walked to the beach, as it was lovely and sunny. We ended up buying a double buggy for the girls as it was so much easier for them, especially with it being busy today. Joe pushed the buggy, as I walked in the middle, arms linked with Mum and Tracey.
"Let's go in the arcades, see if I can win you a Sloth." Joe chuckles, taking out some money.
"Yay. Thanks Alfie." I grin after many attempts later, I'd won one from Alfie.
"Well I feel like the worlds worst boyfriend, sorry Dianne." Joe chuckles, as he pouts.
"Aw babe you're not. You're the best boyfriend ever." I say kissing his cheek.
"You missed." He pouts, chuckling.
I giggle as I place a quick kiss on his lips."Adorable." I hear my Mum coo.
We both smile at each other. "Here I'll take them for a bit, you two spend some time together." Tracey says, smiling.
We thank her as we start to walk head.We had been walking and laughing for around twenty minutes as we hold hands, our fingers interlocked. I stand on my tiptoes to kiss him, as he smiles into it.
"I love you." Joe smiles, linking our fingers again.
"I love you, t-" I stop, as I grip onto Joe's shoulder, my facial expression changing
"Di?" Joe asks seeing my facial expression."Oh my god."
