Joe's POV
Once I'd gone home, Mum was instantly asking questions. Was she my girlfriend? How old is she? Does she know about Mya.I told her she's a single parent, too. How we met. That sort of stuff.
The minute I left her, I wanted to be back in her arms. What was wrong with me? I was really clingy. She really has stolen my heart.
I'd dropped Mya off at the Childminders, before heading into work. Seeing Caspar already there.
I couldn't stop the smile. It was going to be there all day.
"Nice of you to join us, Joe." Caspar jokes as I sit down.I didn't say anything, I just smile, looking at the recent picture I'd taken of us.
They say a picture can speak a thousand words, it's true. The way I'm looking at her. That look is pure love and adoration.
I knew. I knew right there. After almost four days of knowing her, I'd fallen head over heels in love with her. My stomach did flips, as I felt a tingle. Yep. Definitely butterflies. I had it bad. Really, really bad. I smile. Gosh she's gorgeous. And she's mine."Earth to Joe?" Caspar says. "Joe. Joe. Joe." Caspar tries to get my attention. "JOE."
I turn my head. "Sorry, what?"
"What are you day dreaming about?" He asks.
"You're right, Caspar." I say.
"Huh?" He looks at me confused.
"Yesterday. You said I'm in love."
"Did I?" He asks.
"Yes you did. You're right, man. I am. Well and truly. After almost four days. I am in love with her." I say. I definitely knew now.
He looks at the picture. "Yep. Joe, you're definitely in love."
"She's so amazing, Casp. As cliché as it sounds, she's my dream girl. She turns my heart to mush. She's all I can think about. I think," I pause. "she may be the one."
"Oh my god, Joe. What's happened to you?" Caspar smiles.
"Honestly, buddy I don't know. But I feel like a kid again, I'm a changed man. She makes me want to be a better person. It's scary. I never believed in love at first sight. But now, I honestly believe that people can fall quickly. I wouldn't say it was love at first sight. But it was pretty close to it. She's my one Caspar." I admit."Have you told her how you feel?" He asks.
"Not properly. No. I don't want to scare her away. It's too soon to tell her that," I shake my head. "She knows I'm falling in love with her, but I haven't told her the rest. I want to see where we go first. Then I'll ask her to be my girlfriend, and tell her how I really feel." I finish.
"You need to keep hold of her, man." He says.
"I don't plan on letting her go. No one else can have her." I say, as I text her.
Cute Barnet Boy: I miss you. I miss your cuddles. I miss your smile. And I miss your touch 😉. I don't think I can wait until later ❤️❤️❤️
I press send, smiling to myself.....
My phone pinged about twenty minutes later, I see her name light up my screen and I smile, once again, like an idiot.
Aussie Ariel: Aw my cutie. I miss you, too. I miss your cuddles. I miss your smiles, and your touch 😏. I don't think I can wait until later either. Lunch? ❤️❤️❤️I chuckle, smiling along the way. I text back. Cute Barnet Boy: Lunch sounds perfect. Meet me at Battersea Park at 12PM, I'll bring lunch. My treat 😜😉. See you later, gorgeous. Xxx
How can one person brighten up your day, by just a simple text?
12PM rolled around far too slowly for my liking. Making my way over to the park, I see the gorgeous redhead who has stolen my heart, sat waiting on a bench.
"Hey you," I say, wrapping my arms around her. "I've missed you."
"I've missed you, too." She giggles.
"I've brought us a picnic." I say, pulling out the blanket, and place it onto the grass."This is perfect. Yet again Joe, you've spoilt me again." Dianne smiles, as she rests her head on my shoulder,
....
"Right my love, I hate to leave you. But we've got to get back to work. I'll see you at yours later, ey?" I wink.
"I don't want you to go. But we need to work, and I'll definitely see you later," She smirks. "with a very special surprise." She winks and bites her lip."Dianne." I groan, as we walk hand in hand back to our work places.
"I'll see you later, yeah?" She nods, smiling. "See you later, gorgeous."
"Bye handsome. Make sure you're ready for tonight." She smirks, letting go of my hand and walking back to the salon.I swear. She is going to be the death of me. I just shake my head, as I smile.
I couldn't wait for tonight now.
