Chapter Theme: Young and Relentless - Against The CurrentAchelo escorted me back home last night after our dinner in Tagaytay. I expressed my gratitude and clarified to him that we won't be acting as friends when I'm with Zanji and the others. It's highly likely they won't hesitate to confront Achelo without a second thought.
I don't have much to do at home right now except clean up and wrap the gift I got for Wrene.
I've also heard that Zamyr is returning from the States for her brother's birthday. Although we're not particularly close, I'd like to see her and spend time together.
Days passed, and school days resumed. Today, I heard that Zamyr, the only sister of the Prive boys, is arriving.
"What time will you fetch her?" I asked Wren as we headed upstairs for our chemistry class.
He glanced at me, puzzled by my question.
"Who?" he inquired.
I raised my left eyebrow, replying, "Zamyr. Wouldn't you be picking her up from the airport?"
He chuckled, "Nah. She can handle herself on her way here. No need to fetch that kid."
"Kid," you say, huh.
Zanji and the gang were already inside the room. Neither Wren nor I were surprised, as it's clear that they've been going through some changes. I'm pleased with the positive transformations they've made, though.
"Where's Walter, guys?" Reymond inquired.
We all shrugged.
"He told me he has some business to deal with," Wren replied.
When our professor entered the classroom, we focused on the lecture until it was break time. I struggled to pay attention, fully aware that these lessons would eventually fade from my memory.
"Where should we hang out?" Zanji asked.
I shrugged, while Elton chimed in, "Let's go to the forestry area. I heard they've set up some food stalls there."
"Alright, we'll follow you. Trex, come with me," Wren said.
I looked into his eyes, silently questioning why I should accompany him.
"Zamyr just texted me. She's on campus. Let's find her."
My eyes widened. "Already?"
"We don't know if she left early or was in a hurry, so she got here quickly," Wren replied.
Following Wren's instructions, the guys headed to the forestry area while we searched for Zamyr elsewhere on campus.
"Why don't you just ask her through text?" I asked, growing irritated.
He gave me a bored look and showed me his phone. "Not replying."
I sighed heavily, wondering where Zamyr had gone. I was starving.
"There," Wren suddenly said, pointing in a direction.
I followed his gaze and saw Zamyr approaching a professor.
"This doesn't look good."
We went to the second floor where Zamyr was, and it was quite a scene.
"Excuse me, can I get your number?" Zamyr called out to a professor.
I facepalmed, realizing the situation. What if the professor finds out that she's Wren's sister and accuses her of harassment?
The professor looked Zamyr up and down. "Are you talking to me?" he asked.
