Ch 5 - Strange

Two chaps bc you guys waited long enough

It was 2 AM. Not a normal time for you to be awake at all. And yet there you were.

Sitting up in your comfortable bed as the mellow feeling of sadness rippled through your body.

It was strange to your mind how quickly and oddly you would be sad. And now was one of those times. You were just sitting in the dark of your bedroom crying like a five year old.

After a few minutes you managed to wipe your eyes and look over to your peacefully sleeping partner. You looked down at your ever present belly and let out a dreary sigh, offering it a small rub.

You began to lay down again when another strong emotion swept you. More sadness, but in the form on loneliness.

So in retaliation of your body you shuffled closer to Katsuki and snuggled up against his warm body. Almost instantly, your heart felt lighter as you rested your face against his neck, the familiar scent accompanied with him filling your nose.

You heard him grumble a bit, shuffling slightly into a better position and resting a warm hand against the colder skin of your stomach, making you get slight goosebumps.

Soon enough, you fell back asleep.

"Y/n?" A nurse called and you stood nervously in response, heading in her direction.

Probably sensing your unease, Katsuki's hand slipped into yours.

You entered the room, eyeing everything in wonder, the hospital bed was familiar enough, but the machines were definitely something you hadn't really seen.

Following the instructions of the nurse, you sat back on the bed as Katsuki stood nearby, refusing a seat. It was probably because he wasn't comfortable with sitting in this strange room not on guard.

You shivered in slight discomfort as the nurse slathered the weird jelly shit on your lower abdomen and got out the tool thing, you didn't care to learn or remember the names.

Before you, on a little monitor screen, was displayed a black and white image of your insides.

"That's cool but also kinda creepy as fuck."

Then you saw it. The nurse let out some exclamations of joy at having found what you were already aware of was inside you.

A baby. It was.... small.

"Ok but why is its head so big like shit give me a break.."

A sudden question caught your attention, "Do you want to know the gender?"

You stared blankly at the nurse as she smile and slowly turned your head to gaze at Katsuki. He simply shrugged and you returned your eyes to the nurse.

"Uh.... sure I guess." You quietly spoke.

Without hesitation the nurse moved the little stick thing and looked at the screen before giving a solid answer.

It made you look at the screen in a new way, almost like the simple word confirmed that indeed there was a human growing inside of you.

So you smiled. Repeating the answer in your mind like you were locking into place in your brain, not that you needed to.

"Boy."
