You chose to sit on the floor instead of the cold bed. The width and emptiness of it making you feel even more detached from yourself.

The kids of your eyes closed as you fell into a light sleep.

The warm afternoon sun beat down slowly, turning the grassy area and trees all shades of gold and brown. The air smelt fresh and clean and even the sky seemed alive with light.

You sat next to an oak tree, leaning against its firm trunk as a breeze kept you from over heating. Then you noticed something moving in the grass.

Head straightening, you looked closer and were surprised that it was a group of children. They seemed to be playing catch or something like that and their cheerful laughs echoed around the field.

You blinked and they were gone, no more laughter, no more voices. Someone was approaching you though. You didn't recognize them so you assumed it was a person you saw on the street but didn't know.

The male stopped in front of you, his short white air flowing with the breeze, a sad look in his indigo eyes. His hands were in the pockets of his black trousers and his white dress shirt was buttoned all the way up, not a wrinkle in sight.

He frowned, "Its ok."

With those words you woke up. Your cheeks felt dry and wet at the same time, an indication that you had been crying. Then you noticed a figure standing at the entry of your room.

It was Katsuki. He looked exhausted. Bags under his eyes and his posture slouched. He noticed you at once and made his way over quickly, falling to his knees and engulfing you in a warm hug.

You could feel his body shaking and it made your eyes burn as more tears entered your vision.

"I'm sorry," The words caught you a bit off guard and you raised your hands to lightly hold onto his back.

"I wasn't there, not when that bastard attacked you, and not when you were feeling like shit and alone."

You could hear his voice crack and it broke your heart. You struggled not to cry and held him tighter.

"No. It was me. My quirk didn't work and I allowed myself to be backed into a corner. If I had just run away or defended rather than try to fight it would-"

"Stop. I don't want to hear you say that and put yourself down."

"Like you're any better." You smiled sadly and leaned back to stare into his eyes while cupping his face, "I guess we both have something to hate ourselves for."

He looked away, "Yea. I guess we do."
