Ch 12 - New Beginnings

Bro I'm so awkward writing this.
Just a disclaimer I've never had a baby before so I cant exactly write how it feels. '-'

Your hand shook as you held the test in your hands. Positive. It was no accident of course, after a year and a half you had finally decided not to be scared anymore.

But your hand still shook and a million worries filled your head. You sucked in a calming breath and stepped out of the bathroom.

"Its a positive."

Katsuki stood and walked to you, giving you a hug.

"We still need to go to the doctors though, for the real test." You spoke.

He pulled away, "I'm sure it's real."

And he was right, of course, when isn't he. From that point on you proceeded with extreme caution.

Momo fawned over you way more than before, offering you any aid and to stay with you when you were home alone which helped alot with your nerves.

You cleaned up the nursery with Katsuki, dusting and rearranging furniture to be more suited to your taste.

Time flew very quickly and before you knew it, the baby would be coming any day now.

You bit your lip in anxiety as you walked home with Katsuki, a bag of food in one hand and his in the other.

"Are you tired?"

"No, just a little scared." You admitted.

"Don't be, everythings gonna go great." He replied.

You laughed, "Its not like I can back out of it anyway, and I'm sure as long as you're here everything will be fine."

"Ok, Y/n, it's time to push."

Your body was hot and in a lot of pain but still you did as the doctor instructed and flexed your muscles to push out the baby.

When you thought you would pass out from the pain it was suddenly gone. You heaved in deep breaths as sweat coated your body.

Then you heard cries. It was like nothing you had ever heard before, making you want to hold it close and never let go, that's when a small baby was placed on your chest.

"Its a girl."

Her cries stopped as you carefully placed your hands against her skin. Something so small and frail that you felt the desperate desire to protect it.

"She's beautiful." Katsuki smiled.

You could see the love and joy in his eyes.

You smiled as (babies name) crawled across the floor towards Todoroki as Katsuki seethed not far away.

Momo laughed and looked at you, "Thank goodness for you, I couldn't imagine having a smaller version of him running loose."

"I know, she obviously takes after me." You said proudly.

Todoroki had given (baby) an ice cube as Katsuki hovered over him, spewing threats.

You sighed happily, "Somethings never change. But I wont forget what I had to go through to be here, that just makes me all the more happy."
