"Oi, Remus!" (Y/n) called out as he cupped his hands over her eyes. He was about a foot taller than her, and about two feet clumsier. And , that's saying something.

Everyone in Gryffindor had always teased them, saying that they should date. Most of it was brought up after one of them tripped on air, or ran into a wall. They had literally met buy running into each other. Both of them had run out of potions, frantically trying to get to their next class; Transfiguration. And bam, they ran into each other, both sprawling in the hall.

So, nobody knows how Remus thought it was a good idea to guide her to her birthday present, but it probably wasn't the greatest.

(Y/n) knew they where outside when her feet pressed on the mossy earth instead of the stone tile. The cool October air nipped at her skin.

"How much longer?" She whined.

"Hold your horses, (y/n)." Remus retorted, smiling. He still kept a stern voice.

Then, the distinct sound of waves slapping the shore filled the air. Goosebumps spread their way up (y/n)'s arm.

Next thing she knew, she was weightless.

Remus had levitated her into a- rather sketchy- boat. It creaked and groaned from the attention. He tried to paddle away as noiselessly as possible, but every turn of the oar was squealer than the one before it. Not thinking, Remus leaned too far to the right. He and (y/n) we're sent into the glassy water of the black lake.

There was one major issue: (y/n) couldn't swim.

Panic filled her very being as she sunk towards the mucky bottom. He arms flailed, and her legs kicked. The jeans she was wearing seemed only to drag her down more. She accepted that she was going to die.

Everything went black, but (y/n) could still feel a strong arm effortlessly carry her to the surface.

One thought echoed in her mind: Remus.

Okay, so I lied. Neville will be next, though! I just had to make this one for @Fanfics4Turtles because she's probably one of my best friends ever, and it's her birthday.
