The night before they were due to leave on their little vacation, Caitlin spent the evening packing her things into her suitcase and checking everything off. She made sure to get a good night's sleep and she would wake up well-rested in the morning for Barry to pick her up around the block. There were a few things about this trip that she was nervous about- meeting Barry's friends being one for them. Though she was still very excited to spend some time with him where they didn't need to hide and could be a normal couple in front of other people their age.

He said he would take her swimming in the hot springs and if Tess' parents were feeling really kind they might be able to get a couples massage for free. It sounded like the perfect romantic getaway and for once Caitlin felt like an adult- a young woman going on holiday with her boyfriend, a young man that she loved deeply. She felt much less like a child now although there were other factors about this trip that contributed to that feeling as well.

The next morning she woke up bright and early, ate breakfast and took a shower. She was ready to go with enough time to spare for her to double check that she had everything she needed and wanted to bring. As soon as she was properly ready, she hugged her parents goodbye and headed out of the house and around the block to wait for Barry to arrive. Within a couple of minutes, he pulled over, got out and helped her put her suitcase in the boot.

"Do you... uh... get what we discussed?" Caitlin asked nervously after they both got into the car.

"Yeah, I did and I checked at least ten times that it was in my bag. Funny story actually. The day  I bought them, I put the packet in my closet on the shelf- I didn't know where to put them and I didn't want to leave them out for my sister to find. The day after my mom was doing laundry and she found them while hanging my clothes in my closet. That ended in a very long and awkward conversation between me and my parents. But I told them that we'd talked about this and we were both sure about it and that this is something that we both want. You do still want to, don't you?" Barry explained, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Of course... I mean, I'm nervous but you're the only one I'd want to do this with. Besides, we can find out together. I know you're worried but you really shouldn't be- I don't care about anything else. I just want to be with you. But I doubt we'll do it tonight- we'll both be tired from the drive so we might as well wait until tomorrow" she replied with a comforting smile. He nodded, trying to appear as confident as possible, and started up the car to begin their journey.

After a few long hours, the teenaged couple arrived at the resort and found a few of the others had already arrived. The resort itself wasn't huge but it was very comfortable. The place was calm and tranquil with not a lot of guests to crowd up the place but seeing as it was Spring break they were probably full. The scenery was surrounded by crystal water and trees, the rooms were like little shacks of their own with lots of wooden flooring. The main building with the reception had a restaurant and bar as well as the entrance to the outdoor massage area. There was an outdoor large pool with a pool bar where many guests seemed to circulate around as well as various small hot springs areas dotted around like hot tubs and some bigger springs.

They went straight to their room to unpack and freshen up, deciding to go for a swim in the pool to cool down after the long and hot journey. The temperatures were starting to skyrocket very quickly so they thought they'd save the hot springs for the evening or earlier in the morning when it would be cooler. Caitlin changed in the bathroom while Barry was in the bathroom- she changed into her new bikini and grabbed her sunhat and slip that she wore over her outfit. She slipped on her flipflops and gathered some things like suncream and a book to put in her bag.

Once Barry was ready, she slipped on her sunglasses and fetched their towels and they wandered down to the pool hand in hand. When they arrived, they found a vacant sunbed and lay out their things, taking turns to carefully rub suncream on each other. She found Barry to be quite excitable when it came to swimming, he seemed restless and desperate to jump in which admittedly she found quite adorable even if it was a little childish.
