It was a perfect evening at Sonic's place. No Dr. Eggman to interfere, no noisy neighbours. Everything seemed just perfect.

The blue speedster was happily sitting on his couch watching an episode of South Park and munched down another chilli dog. They were his favourite food. Nothing could compare to the deliciousness of them.

The doorbell rang and he grumbled. Sonic hopped off the couch and walked over to the door and opened it. Outside was Amy.

"Oh no..." He said silently. This perfect evening was about to go out the window.

"Hey Sonic! Wanna go on a date?!" She asked excitedly.

"Uh, no thanks." He replied. Those words seemed to make the pink hedgehog mad.

"Sonic, you're gonna date me like it or not! Then we're marrying and having-" He slammed the door. "THAT'S IT!" She cried and got her Piko-Piko hammer out. Amy proceeded to break the door down with it. Sonic could only look back in horror.

"Uh, I'd love to stay but I gotta go fast!" He said and ran out the door past Amy with super speed. Amy ran after her so called "boyfriend".

Sonic ran down the street before someone very familiar with a very familiar plane came to sight. He stopped and nearly fell over. "Hey Sonic. How's tonight going?" Tails asked as he stopped working on the Tornado.

"Tails, ya' gotta help me!" He grabbed onto the fox's shoulders. Tails only looked in confusion. There was stomping heard from down the road. Sonic didn't hesitate to run off again, leaving Tails confused until he looked over and caught sight of Amy.

"Now I get what's going on." Tails sighed as Amy raged past him.

Sonic ran and ran away from Amy. He didn't want to put up with her at the moment. He ran until Sonic saw someone walking up the sidewalk. It was the world renown Ultimate Lifeform otherwise known as Shadow The Hedgehog. He stopped for a moment and caught an idea.

"Shad, can I stay over at your place for tonight?!" He called.

"No." His darker counterpart replied and crossed his arms.

"Please? Amy got mad again." Sonic said. This only annoyed Shadow.

"Then sort out your problem. She's just a girl." He said, staring.

"Please, please. I'll get you your forth Chaos Emerald. I promise." That caught Shadow's attention.

"You sure?" He asked, raising an eye ridge. The blue speedster nodded. Shadow took out his Chaos Emerald and shouted the famous "Chaos control!" and teleported to Shadow's place.

"So where am I sleeping?" Sonic asked, looking over at Shadow.

"On the couch. And my emerald better be found tomorrow."

"I got it." Sonic explored the place and found a bowl of wet lemons on the table. "What are these?" He asked.

Shadow walked into the room and hopped up on a chair. He examined the lemons. He shrugged. Sonic took one and proceeded to eat it, but gagged heavily before swallowing.

"Geez, Shad. That had to be the sourest thing I've ate!" He exclaimed.

"Rouge sometimes comes over here and makes food when she visits. Odd." He explained.

"Man, Rouge must like sour food. She probably put lemon juice on here or something."

"Maybe." That night, no Amy found Sonic and both hedgehogs happily slept. Sonic slept in a little more though. He began to wake up and open his green eyes. The first thing he saw was an angry Shadow staring.

"Where's that damn forth Chaos Emerald?"
