"How much longer, are we there yet?"

Demetri shot me the thousandth glare as I whined again.

"It will take some time." He glared.
"Looks like patience isn't one of your virtues." Felix smirked, enjoying the banter going on between us.

"It most definitely is not." Carly snickered.
"You are as equally annoying as me you know!" I pouted.

"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Are too."
"Am not."

"Ah-hah!" I smirked victoriously.
"I can't believe I fell for that." Carly grumbled.

"We're here." Felix stated.

"Really?" I asked, my eyes wide with happiness. I was finally getting off this damned ship that wasn't holding together for the life of it.

"No. He's bluffing." Joel sighed.

"You are evil." I glowered making the others snicker.

"We're here." Joel said, standing up an hour later and adjusting his cloak. My eyes snapped to the right to see Carly checking him out. I kicked her shin, making her eyes switch to mine. I raised an eyebrow as if to ask her - 'what do you think you are doing?'
She smiled sheepishly and looked away opting to stare at the woodwork of the ship walls.

"Where are we exactly?" I asked trying to make sense of the piece of land that lay a few feet forward.

"Our apologies. Welcome to Volterra, Italy."

"Is it always so crowded?" I asked, shoving away another guy who got too close for comfort.

"Mostly. This is the main season when the traders cross Volterra, spreading ideas and trading before continuing with the silk route." Joel explained.

"How much longer before I take this off." Carly asked, tugging lightly on her cloak that Felix lent her. I huffed in agreement as I tugged on my own special gift.

"There - our residence. Palazzo de-Prori."

"Its pretty." I smiled. This was the first official time I was seeing the Volturi castle with my own eyes. I was nervous, as I had only heard about it in stories from Carlisle. I looked at Carly and saw that she shared the same nervousness that I had.

"Its prettier on the inside." Demetri smiled and held the front door open for us. With as much as a glimpse back, we entered the deep dark depths of the ancient palace.

As soon as we set foot inside, a tall brunette lady walked in our direction. She was a vampire - obviously - and wore a dress that hugged her curves completely. She had feline like features and a dazzling smile. You'd know at a first glance that she was a lure - a siren.

"You're back, Aro will be very pleased you returned early. And who might this be? Another gift from your travels?" She smirked evilly as she eyed us like food.

"First of all Miss Whoever-the-fuck you are," I spoke without missing a beat. "I am not a gift for your master, I am a gift to humanity."
