"What do you mean I'm blabbing nonsense? Don't you realize how stressful it is being in my shoes? These six inch heels look and feel like death traps! What if something goes wrong? What if someone speaks up when the reverend says 'speak now' ? What the crap am I supposed to do then? What if I walk down the isle and I fall? People are going to make fun of me for the rest of my life! And before you say these are pre-wedding jitters; let me just clarify that they are not! These are actual things that happen and that people don't know how to deal with! How am I supposed to - "

"Oh my god!" Carly exclaimed, shaking me sharply. "Shut UP!"

"What?" I whined. "I'm nervous."

"Jeez Maddy! There is a difference between being nervous and acting like an ass!" She scolded me, tugging on the veil and fixing my dress. "Right now, you're acting like an ass!"

"I'm not! It's the stupid hair! Its pulling out my brain cells!" I scowled, reaching my hand out to tug on the locks, but earning a harsh smack to my wrist.

"Hey!"

"No touching my masterpiece." Jane scowled.

"Oh come on." I whined. "Who puts flowers in their hair?"

"It's vintage." Heidi piped up from the other side of the room.

I sighed, leaning back into the chair and gazing at my reflection in the mirror. Light pink lipstick decorated my lips which complimented my eye shadow. My winged liner was too winged for my taste but I was assured that it looked lovely by almost everyone who visited. My pink rose bouquet sat in front of me as I blankly stared at it.

Today was the most important day of my life; I was getting married. After all we've been through from our first meeting up till now, this was the day I had been preparing for.

"Wow Maddy, you look great!"

My eyes snapped up, my trance long gone as I grinned at Felix and Demetri. "Thank you."

"You clean up well." Demetri chuckled, as Carly snickered from behind me.

"Thanks." I glared, dryly.

"How is Alec?" I asked, mindlessly playing with the hem of my veil; making sure I don't ruin Jane's 'masterpiece'.

"He's nervous." Felix hummed, Demetri grinning behind him.

"Aww." Heidi gushed, Jane and Carly bursting into peals of laughter at the news.

"He's nervous? Isn't that kinda my job?" I snickered, walking around the room and attempting not to fall.

The dress was huge, diamonds embedded in certain places making me wonder how much these monkeys might have spent on it. I twirled around, watching as the solitaires shone in the light making me glow up just right.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" Demetri said, opening the bag he was carrying and pulling out a flat velvet case. He walked towards me, opening it as I gasped at the display before me. It was a diamond necklace with the prettiest earrings to top it off.

"This is so beautiful. . ." I muttered, my fingers grazing the precious stones delicately as Felix lifted the accessory out of the box. He walked behind me, clasping it around my neck as Carly put the earrings in.

"Perfect." Carly smiled, looking me over as Heidi, Jane, Chelsea and Carly checked themselves over once before showtime.

"Ready?" They asked, looking at me hopefully as I gulped nervously.

"That's the spirit!" Carly grinned, right before I could say anything. I walked towards the door holding Felix's hand to make sure I didn't fall. He kept a firm grip on my forearm, noticing my struggle in the death-trap known as my shoes.

"Don't fall. Don't fall. Don't fall. . ." He muttered, helping me down the steps as I whined after every step.

"Why. Is. This. So. Hard." I huffed, momentarily smiling as I successfully descended the ginormous flight of stairs.

"I'll take it from here."

My eyes locked with a pair of crimson ones as a slow smile spread on my face.

"Caius."

"What good would a wedding be without me?" He mused, making me burst out into peals of laughter while the guard chuckled behind.

"Thank you Caius." I smiled, holding on to his arm as he walked us towards the entrance. "I really appreciate it."

"Your welcome." He nodded, but I caught a hint of a smile on his face.

"Okay people! Places!" Carly announced, lining everyone up as Caius and I lingered behind.

"Don't let me fall." I breathed, glancing at the blonde king beside me as he smirked.

"Now, what's the fun in that?"

"Count to twenty and then walk!" Heidi announced, right before the music started outside. I started bouncing in my heels nervously; I was so close to throwing up.

"Relax." Caius whispered. "Its not as bad as it seems."

"I can't relax!" I whisper yelled. "What if something happens?"

"Nothing will." He assured. "I'll make sure of it."

I was left speechless for a good minute at his words. Carly was right after all - under that cold, ruthless exterior, was a ray of light that no one got to see. Caius wasn't as bad as everyone portrayed him to be; he could be nice if he wanted to.

"Thank you." I smiled, turning my gaze forward and immediately paling at the sight before me; Heidi and Felix had walked and it was now our turn.

"Just smile and keep your eyes on the prize."

I grinned at his words, taking slow steps as he walked by my side. We made it passed the doorway successfully as the crowd 'Ahh-ed'. I took a deep breath, picking up a familiar scent as my gaze fell on the dias.

I wasn't exaggerating when I said that everything around me had faded into an oblivion when I laid my eyes on my groom.

This was it. I was finally getting married.
