Levi was almost nine months along and was ready to give birth at any second. Erwin watched him like a hawk stalking its prey when he was with him and made sure Andrew was a call away if he wasn't. Levi couldn't wait to have this child just so that he could enjoy some personal space.
It came sooner then he was expecting however, as he was walking down the hall one night he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. Erwin reacted instantly grabbing Levi and running down the hall with Levi lying bridal style in his arms. Hanji and Andrew set to work instantly giving Levi some epidural for the pain and setting up a heart monitor.
Erwin took his place beside Levis side holding his left hand tightly in both of his own larger hands. Through out the long difficult surgery he kept Levi calm and comforted him. Andrew performed the c section while Hanji assisted in any way she could, after all, she was a scientist not a doctor.
It seemed to go on for hours but eventually the pain lessened and Levis ears were filled with sounds of a crying newborn. Andrew cut her cord, cleaned her up and checked her vitals before handing her to Erwin. Erwin held the baby in his arms and gently rocked her. After he had held her for a while and Levi had to be stitched up he handed the blonde little girl to Levi.
Hanji began working on the newborns birth papers "Evalynn Lee Smith born on July 4th, 839, Blue eyes, Blonde hair, 8lbs and 16 inches. Fathers Erwin and Levi" She stated out loud as she wrote.
Levi smiled down at his newborn daughter as he held her close to his chest. "Welcome to the world you little rug rat, you gave us quite the fight. Welcome to life, Evalynn Lee Smith"
